Ohhh yeah trying to get that first poo after surgery is rough! I have learned that glycerine suppositories are my new friend though! It works like a charm. HAHA.
My poop rant is I hate when I have to poo at school cause then I don't have any dang privacy! I just want to be able to sit there in peace without anyone walking in knowing what I'm doing but it's impossible when you're in a public restroom!

Oh the first post surgery poop... blood sweat and tears is an apt description! J, I eat a lot of fruit and nuts now because being in an office full time has me slightly bored = hungry. I have worked out that going to a quieter floor in my building and waiting patiently, then working as fast as I can, I have been lucky in getting privacy. It fills my heart with dread when I feel that 'knock on the back door' though I always wish I was home!

I have to rant about my poop. For the past week and a half, I am farting up a storm, I swear, I'm going to rocket launch myself to the moon. I haven't changed my diet at all, no idea but for almost 2 weeks now, it's soft, sticky and my gas reeks. Sorry, I'm grossed out by myself. Has anyone taken digestive enzymes or activated charcoal capsules? I spent some time searching today, I'm beyond gassy and I'm getting sick of this. I have laid off the greek fage yogurt as well, even taking a lactaid capsule with it, I still bloat up so I'm trying to cut that out...I'm out of ideas. I feel like I want to burp, sometimes it's a lame little burp, sometimes it's like puke wants to come up. I don't feel bad if I lay down so I'm not sure if it's GERD or not. No idea. Ideas?

If it has only been a week and a half I would want to wait it out to see if it passes on its own before buying some pills to try and stop it. Have you added anything new to your diet recently? Taking anything new or drinking something new?

I have really racked my brain....I backed off the flax seed yesterday in my oatmeal, helped a little with the gas. I also purchased a GF chocolate chip cookie mix and made those, not sure if it's just too much sugar in my system...no idea. I feel like a big fat moose. I wore these leggings today to work and I could barely get them up over my hips, they weren't that tight when I bought them so I have definately put on pounds since I bought them last year....so annoying. I just don't get it. I have tried changing my work out a little, more elypitcal, that really gets my heart rate going....I have no idea what's up with my body.

I feel like my life revolves around poop! Hows your stress level? I feel like it just takes one day to throw off my GI system, then a week to get off track (even just missing a few days of exercise, getting up at a different time and missing my BM in the am,I've been pretty good lately but sometimes I have gas that could kill zombies, ugh!). Maybe it's the change in exercise, I don't know. Do you ever eat crystalized ginger or chews? Maybe that would help the gassies.

I have a story that will hopefully make you all laugh.
One night, my husband, two of our friends and I were playing beer pong. It was a day or two before my period so I was UBER gassy. Like I looked 4 months pregnant from bloating. Anyways, in a room full of men, who thankfully are extremely kind, i start letting out my gassies. They STUNK. I mean culd clear a room in NO TIME. We all laughed about it but the guy on my team switched up once the round was over.. LOL
In any case, I get the gas and poop issues. I was terrified after my lap to go poo. It thankfully took a few days before my body said it was time to go and I just took my time.. Since then, I am back to my pre-op poops. Nothing has changed on that front. I go at least twice a day and it's never a solid consistency unless I havent had enough to drink.
I find it's even worse when my anxiety is high... I can empty out in no time.... :S

I had terrible terrible gas in December and after my period it subsided. I couldn't really figure out what was wrong but I did notice that it got worse on the day I had some cheese, so I'm guessing that's how bad my body reacted. My question is before I was diagnosed with endo I never had an issue with the food I ate, now it's just plain crazy. Is my mind playing tricks?

I think anytime you drastically change your diet your body is going to change its reaction to foods. It's quite difficult to adjust!

Not sure if it's the change in schedule or different foods (or both) but I am always very stopped up when I travel and am afraid to take something to help. When I finally do poop after a few days, I am more excited than a kid on Christmas morning and feel like "Hallelujah Chorus" should be playing in the background.
