Hi ladies, I was wondering if any of you got craming pain that radiates down into the right leg. I get this during pms time and during my period. It is very severe in my leg. Any ideas on why this is? Thanks!

I definitely have this--I actually limp during the week around ovulation, and on my period.
If it is endo related and not a nerve issue or something like that, my understanding is that either endo can grow on certain places that hit a nerve that radiates down the leg, or that from all of the endo, certain pelvic muscles can be permanently spasmed, and that causes the pain to radiate. It's worse when your hormones are causing things to swell, bleed, and move.

Yep here too. I used to have it in the front quad almost down to the knee and on the side, radiating to the back. Since Pelvic Floor Therapy and some of the exercises from it, I've managed to get it reduced to right on the side. But it's still bad enough sometimes that I can't lay on my right side or even the seat belt hurts where the clasp part is at the seat while driving.

I can always tell when things are 'a brewing inside when my right ankle pops when I walk. I went to pelvic PT last year and she told me how jacked up my muscles were on the right side of my pelvic. When I get in pain, the muscles contract to cope with it and it causes everything down my right leg to get jacked up as a result. The pain isn't nearly as bad since the PPT, though I still get the occasional ankle pop these days.

It is so nice to know that I am not going crazy! Other people have the same issues! This is bad, because I work in health care and am very familiar with physical therapists... but had no idea that you could do pelvic PT for endo!!! Are there any at home exercises that ya'll do?

One member is trying Maya Massage and it has home exercises--look for the maya abdominal massage thread!

Yeah, there are some things you can do at home, but I'd really suggest starting with a PPT. We have a whole thread about it in the natural treatments area! There were some stretches and exercises they gave me to do at home, but the most benefit I got from it was from myofascial release (sp??). Essentially manual manipulation to get your muscles to relax, release adhesions, and get your organs in the right place. Look into if if you're interested! Best part? No drugs or nasty long term side effects!!!
