Hey-lo.
This isn't a recipe thread, but rather, a "what to have in your kitchen at all times thread." I'm a college student, and I know that given my schedule (and, I'll be honest, my mild sense of laziness) I am not going to have the time or the drive to run to the grocery store every time I want to try an endo-friendly recipe. So what I'd like to know is, what kinds of BASICS do you think are important to always have stocked in your kitchen? Any specific seasonings, sweeteners, flour types, foods that you find to be commonly used in recipes?
Thanks! ;D

oh, no worries hon. You can see I was WAY into it. Now still on it, but sort of 'over it' for the moment, no giant leaps forward lately. But, as long as I'm on it, my pain is minimal, so that's my goal.... I need to go to a big city, have some nice ethiopian food or something. Bored! I'm bored.... Oh and ps what about breakfast tortillas, corn tortillas, fried egg, avocado? Or, like in Thailand - bowl of rice, fried egg, chilis, green onions? or, try some gluten free bread for your toast? hmmm? Personally I was on a kick for a long time with using almond milk, ice, blueberries, and hemp protien powder (wheat/gluten free, whey free) with some agave.... Today I had half a cigarette, and a decaf americano with agave you can see I'm slacking!

Haha! Okay, I'll try! That breakfast tortilla sounds interesting, and right now it actually sounds kinda yummy! We aren't grounded from spices are we? My boyfriend recently turned me onto tabasco......

I think you gotta be careful with some spices. Could be wrong!

Depends on your tummy issues, but most things that are spicy are anti-inflammatory, if you can stomach them.

I always have some chicken stock on hand - it's good for a base for a quick stir fry. Whenever I open a container when I just need a 1/2 cup or something, I throw the rest in an ice cube tray and then throw them in a ziplock bag once their frozen so I can just grab a few when I need them.
I'm a big fan of nuts/nut mixes. I always have them for a snack at work. That or fruit. The protein tides me over!
Quinoa pasta is a good staple!
Bags of frozen veggies (for a quick stirfry)
