Ok, ladies. Whenever I have intercourse (plenty of lube each time), I always get a little blood on my toilet paper one time a week before my period. It doesn't seem to happen before ovulaton though. It freaks me out when it happens. I just had a pap and pelvic and this has been happening for a while. I just assumed it was endo. Cause for concern?

I haven't had this with sex, but did when I pooped. About 10 days before my period, I bleed vaginally a little bit every time I have a bm. During my lap, I found out my uterus adn bowel were connected, so my theory is that whenever I have a bm, it pushes on teh uterus and when my uterus is "fuller", pre period, it pushes out some of the lining. I'm sure something similar could happen with sex, depending on what is connected. This symptom has improved with my lap, but it still goes on, just not as frequently.

As far as I know, I think it's not too uncommon for women to spot? The only thing that stumps me is that I would THINK the blood comes from a tear, but if you're using tons of lube, that shouldn't be the case.. My only problem is that sex = pain =/ Have you asked a doctor about it yet?

I just had my physical a few months ago and I didn't think it was urgent enough to talk about it since it only happened in the days leading up to my period. I am going to start charting it though on a calendar and if it gets worse, I am going to make an appointment. As I was researching online, I found that there are several reasons for postcoital bleeding including STDs (not possible), tears, polyps and or course the ugly Cancer Word. Since I have always had pre-menstrual spotting with endo, it seemed logical that I could spot a week before my period after sex too.

Jessa: I have never had the deep pain during sex that some endo sufferers get. Sometimes if I am stressed out about something, my vaginismus will happen and that will hurt because I am tight going in. I am not on BCPs either so it could be my hormones fluctuating.

Charting it on a calendar is a great idea! Yeah, tears was my first thought but then when you said you use lots n lots of lube it threw me off. I guess it's still possible though? My best guess would be that you might just be spotting early.. I hope you figure it out! It wouldn't hurt to call your doctor and ask about it. Good luck!

I have had this problem. Before I started the diet. I was having pain and spotting during/after. It freaked me out too! I thought I had cancer or something. So, I googled it and found that it is "normal" for endo. My symptoms have greatly decreased with the diet and I have not seen any spotting in over a month, and the pain has greatly subsided.

I have had this happen the last two months as well. The first time it happened I called my Dr ASAP and he told me that it's normal for endo if it's heavy or lasts for a couple of days to schedule an appointment. it has never lasted longer than a day or two.
