Im going to ask my husband to rub my butt cheeks!!!! ;-) I have my second acupuncture appt today. I have been taking The Chinese herbal drink for two weeks. Don't notice a difference other than it helping my back pain which is interesting.

Nothing says love like a butt rub! I have noticed a difference in my bowels and legs. I've been twice to this acupuncturist. I don't have to drink anything but I have to take 5 pills twice a day as well as another set of 10 pills twice a day. I have no idea how to pronounce them but I have been good about taking them and I feel pretty good. I'm supposed to get my period in a few days and normally I'm in bed with terrible pain so this is a nice change. You have to feel around your butt cheeks and see where the sore spots are. Try around the tail bone area. Thats a sore one for me. Happy rubbing!

I would be interested to know if you ladies notice a difference. Even if you find that your pain is not as painful. That is what I have found in the past couple of days. Before my period comes I am either in bed or barely walking around. Definetely not carrying anything. My period is supposed to come in a few days and I've been shopping, carrying shopping bags and I haven't felt sore at all. Could this be the Christmas miracle I have always heard about? I guess the miracle would really be mother nature zapping the endo away forever...

I just got back from my trip to Canada. My mom booked me in with a TCM and I had acupunture and cupping. She met with me first and asked some questions. She put her fingers on my right wrist and said my chi was weak in my kidneys, intestine, and lungs. She said my meridian was blocked. Her suggestions were to keep warm, don't drink anything cold, no sugar, no melon of any kind in the cold months, also suggested drinking ginger tea. I guess because she knew I was going back to chicago and wouldn't be back for treatment she didn't get to in depth with me. The acupuncture was neat - didn't hurt - I was suprised that they also hook up some device to the needles that sends electrical impulses thru you - I was hooked up for about 25 minutes just laying there feeling the pulses go thru each needle. Is that what acupuncture is like for everyone else? The cupping was a little strange - just like juice glasses that get heated and then they put them on your back/legs and they just stay stuck there. Apparently this sucks out all of the toxins from your body. I will certainly look for a place in my area to continue the acupuncture - I reallly believe it works.

Hi, I have never heard of cupping but I have heard of the electrical thing. I think that is supposed to be more intense rather than just needles on their own. Maybe because she thought you were going back so she gave you a more intense session? How did you feel afterwards? I was also told about the weak qi and to eat and drink warm things. She also told me to keep my feet warm which I have been doing and I feel a lot better. I believe it works too.

I was told to buy this stuff called Tiaojing Cuyun Wan. You take these when your period ends, 2 per day for 20 days. I guess this is for promoting fertility. Has this been suggested by any of the TCM's any of you are seeing? The electrical thing was neat! I didn't feel any different afterwards at all - are you supposed to feel different? I forgot, she also said no icecream - anything cold I need to cut out of my diet completely.

Acupuncture can take several sessions before you notice anything, though I think I was able to feel the complete relaxation after the firs treatment. We tried the electrical pulses one time but it didn't do as much for me so we crossed it off the list of things to try.

I had my accupuncture session yesterday. The good news is that my butt cheeks are almost pain free but my legs are blocked. When the doc massages them I feel like flying off the table screaming. She says it is all related to the inflammation build up. Once that has cleared up I should have no pain at all. The only thing though is that after my session I had 2 huge bruises on my tummy from where 2 of the needles where. She said that this is a normal reaction from my body dealing with qi or whatever but...has this happened to anyone else?

I got a huge bruise on my stomach after acupuncture a couple of months ago. I was freaked out about it, but my acupuncturist said it was normal. It went away and now my tummy is back to normal. I went to acupuncture today and he put a bunch of needles in my lower back and hips because that's where I've been having the most trouble lately. We were talking and then he hit this point in my hip and I yelped. It hurt like crazy. It's amazing how sensitive we can be to needles.

Yup, I've had the bruises before, and they cleared up quickly.

I've been going to my acupuncturist for almost 6 months now. TBH, I have seen only some improvement. I have seen a reduction in stress, length of pain (only some months) and a reduction in bloating. Also, I have been pretty healthy and cold/flu free so far since starting acupuncture.
Yesterday, I want to my acupuncturist on day 1 of of AF's visit, so I was in pain. My session went VERY well. My acupuncturist not only tried some new points, but also was able to tweak some points until the pain went away. The pain actually just moved up and away from my back and stomach. The pain has not returned yet (and it's usually pretty severe by day 2). I'm beyond thrilled. The acupuncturists did warn me that the effects could last an hour, or they could last a week, we'll just have to see. For now, I'm just happy to have a few hours (or even a day) without the pain!

Went to acupuncture yesterday. I'm really excited because my acupuncturist thinks I'm ready to try an adrenal supplement since I have been so tired since my surgery and diagnosis. He said he didn't want to load me up on to many supplements at one time because I've had major digestion issues. Now that my digestion is better I can try the adrenal supplements and see if I notice a difference. I really can't wait. If I could stop feeling so tired all the time I would be one happy/grateful girl.
