Girls---I've been faithful to this diet, I think almost 6 wks now?? I'm about to lose it. The past couple days I have cheated a little here and there. NOthing major, tiny piece of homemade bread, small cookie bar, a little cheese. I'm just dying for some of my old favorites like a good ole sub sandwich loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, ... The diet has been good for me because I do think I have a problem with oats and TOO MUCH wheat, and many breakfast foods. But I'm thinking about letting myself have a little dairy, maybe a little wheat here and there. Will it make a difference?? Is it too early for me to give in a little. I'm just so crabby! Fran

you could befeeling long term effects of reducing the toxic load on your body. It will get worse before it gets better! your liver and kidneys and all are processing toxins that have been in your body for YEARS....
remember, it's up to YOU what you choose to do, nobody can tell you what to eat, all we can tell you is how WE feel on our own diets. I wouldn't throw in the towel yet.... but hey that's me....

Keep in mind that the diet doesn't work for everyone. And the whole point of going on the diet is to discover what your body can't handle. It doesn't mean you have to stick to it forever, just identify what it is that bothers your body and avoid those things. I think it's safe to let yourself introduce foods back into your diet and see how you react. You'll know what doesn't agree with you. If you start having dairy again and you see that it doesn't change how you feel then you are certainly ok to have dairy. If you try wheat and find yourself in pain, then you know wheat is bad for you. etc... make sense? I was like you, the diet made me insane but I'm glad I did it because I discovered things that I didn't know were messing me up. I am fine with dairy. I don't have a problem with it at all but I make sure I always get organic everything.
Just try to re-introduce some foods back into your body and see what happens. Then you can make some modifications to the diet to help suit you better.

I think part of my extreme crabiness yesterday was I didn't have many "allowed" food items in the house. Now that I've stocked up again, I feel encouraged! Could be hormones, too? Only certain foods are just "comforting" enough to help those crabbys! I think I have enough control not to over indulge. I've been having some milk with gluten-free cereal and I seem to be ok with that. Also, we drink raw milk which may be the difference.
