I am in MO - better know as Misery or Methouri. I guess no one in this damn state knows how to do anything more complicated than running a puppy mill or a meth lab. Anyways, when i was 17, I had a lap done - near Orlando, FL, and they burned the endo off of my intestines. That was in 1995. NO ONE in Missouri will do it. I was referred to a gynecological oncologist, they referred me to a gynecological endocrinologist, and they told me to call a gi dr. the gi dr said he wouldn't do that either.

I need help, my colon shuts down during my period - sometimes it hurts so bad that i'm afraid to eat for fear of it rupturing.

Is there enyone else on here in MO that got help? I'm about ready to go the damn news media to get help.

Also, no one has said, let's do an MRI. Why don't anyone know about MRIs?!?!

I'm sorry you're not having any luck! If Dr. Albee is an endo specialist, he will have a specialist on call who can do that portion of your surgery, I think? Have you contacted him to ask?

I really hope your symptoms are letting you have a break. I know how frustrating and end-of-your-rope it feels to be hunting forever to find someone to help you when you already feel awful.

If I were in your shoes, I'd be calling everywhere and keeping track of their suggestions, and keeping good notes.

I'm really sorry I wasn't able to help you!
