Aw, I'm so glad things went well and your pain after all these years was validated! I think for most of us, that is the biggest thing. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

So glad things went well. I feel you on the no airconditioner--it's miserable here now. But cooler today!!! So glad that fibroid is out and not in!

AC was fixed today!!! Yay!!!! And you are so right about the phenomenon of feeling like you're just fine and can take on the world, then suddenly hitting a wall. I guess your body knows best, and it's gonna get its rest, even if you resist. I was even feeling less in pain these past couple of days, but all of a sudden I'm really hurting. It's not horrible - still hasn't gotten any worse than even my worst cramps!!! It's just a little disconcerting, especially since I started having bleeding with clotting that seemed to be increasing. Again, nothing like with my periods. I knew it was to be expected, but I hadn't had any bleeding for days, then all of a sudden it kicked in, and with the clots. I called the doctor, though, he felt it was ok. I know my hubby was just frustrated because he wanted me to have a comfortable restful recovery, and he felt powerless to control the circumstances that were preventing it. Sometimes I just don't understand guys. They try so hard, but if it doesn't go the way they planned and/or if they aren't able to improvise to fix it, they wind up making it worse than the frustrating situation itself. He has been very apologetic and contrite. I know he means well. Hell, I'm not perfect, and he deals with my shortcomings. Overall, he's very sweet, supportive, and my best friend. Anyway, thanks so much again for the referral and the support and advice. I hope you are doing well yourself! I know you have been going through a lot.

It's funny how you describe how guys want to fix everything but when it doesn't go their way they make it worse. That's so true! Glad to hear you got the AC fixed. Take it easy!!!!!!!!!!! The bleeding should get better.

Hey myrtle, have you ever been to the Wonderland Ballroom near WHC? It's the local bar around there where we used to get trashed after a particularly horrible shift. It's a pretty fun and crazy place. When we'd walk in wearing scrubs they used to yell, "HEY Hospital Center is here!" Some of the people in there were our own patients! HAHAHA. Oh WHC, only at WHC do the staff get drunk with their patients. LOL

oh yes, I know Wonderland. My friend and I were there the other day. Wonderland and Looking Glass are both great.
but WHC actually has a really good reputation. My neighbor went there when he had a heart attack and stroke (both mild) recently and he was really pleased.

Something is seriously wrong with DC. I mean, other than Congress. What a concentration of endo girls!

I know! I was thinking the same thing. I didn't even have endo symptoms until I freakin moved here too.

I had endo, but I didn't have asthma before living in this horrible polluted air. Now, I have to take 1 inhaler daily and another quite frequently.

It seems like it is worse when you grow up elsewhere and then move here, which so many of us in this area have done. I have known a lot of people whose allergies are worse here. I've had a lot of allergy problems here, although I allergies before I moved here. I had asthma before, too, but it was mostly aggravated by only certain particular things, as well as intense exercise. It seems like it was fairly in check most of the time, though, until lately. I recently had allergy testing, and I tested really high for local molds and such. My dr put me on Singulair, which really helps. I thought the asthma wasn't bothering me until the medication made it better, and I realized just how much trouble I had in general. If you are using an inhaler frequently, I'd recommend talking to an ENT or allergist about something like Singulair. I rarely need a rescue inhaler, and I have so much less trouble breathing when I exercise.
