That is so weird, Karen! Have you had this type of reaction before?

I've had reactions to milk for years, but they're usually related to digestion. (If I'm constipated, I know a milkshake will take care of things in an instant, but if I'm not, it'll cause constipation.) This kind of rash is a bit new, although I've had it before on a smaller scale in the same place but haven't been able to put two and two together. I have eczema, too - have had it since 2nd grade or so - and I'm convinced that's food related, too. So kind of a new reaction, but not really if that makes sens!

Milk allergies are strongly linked to eczema. Worked in a pediatrics center before and cant tell you how many times we saw it in kids. Ahhhhh, farmers market in Wisconsin.... how the H*ll are you not supposed to eat cheese?!!!

Good to know! I heard ear infections are linked to milk allergies, too! No wonder I was such a miserable kid. I gave up milk in junior high/high school but cheese was still a weakness. I eliminated it from my diet and sadly, my attempts to substitute it failed...
You'd think the numerous docs I saw through the years would have put two and two together, especially considering all the other allergies I had. I can't tell you how many creams I tried, and none of them worked. I gave up on it about 10 years ago. Funny thing was that I woke up about 2 weeks ago and my eczema was GONE. I was feeling my hands all day. Then bam, some dairy, and it's worse that it's been in a while.
Wah!

I cheated on my endo diet and now I'm paying for it big time. I'm all bloated. I made myself whole wheat pizza, added a bit of pizza sauce, lots of mushrooms and then topped it with cheese and I'm bloated and I also snuck in a cup of decaf coffee, it was this chai latte thing and I couldn't resist. A couple of days ago I ate a marshmallow.
Note to self do not be greedy or you'll end up bloated. Back to square one again. I don't think this whole 30 is working for me. Plus now I think I understand how alcoholics feel during the 1st few days. Arrrrrrghhhhhh!!!
Hopefully the little belly will go off and I'll feel much better soon.

Sorry that happened to you but sometimes you have to make those mistakes to really get the connection between your body and certain foods. Last time I had dairy, I bloated up for about 4 days! The good thing is I won't be doing that for a while. Are you doing a Whole30? That will make you feel much better if you can get past those first weeks. It's hard at first but so worth it!
