I've read off and on that tomatos are bad for endo. Why is this? Is it due to acicity of them? I mean, they're supposed to fight cancer so what is it about them that is bad? Do they help pain reoccur or endo. to come back worse? Thanks!

Yeah ive heard the tomato thing too. I dont get it really. It could be that its aggravating bowel problems being so acidic, in which case low acid ones might be ok.
I actually have a food sensitivy to tomatoes, but i still have them without any dramas, as long as i dont overdo it.
It also could be that tomatoes absorb chemicals alot more than other stuff, since the skin is fairly thin. They are heavily treated with chemicals too since they are so susceptible to fruit fly. Its a good food to try and have organic as much as possible.
The problem is, have to eat something. Ive cut alot of foods out and have to stop somewhere. Ive never noticed more pain following a tomato based dish, i dont feel better if i havent had them in a while. This is one of those things where its best to see how your own body reacts. I know some women on here have cut out tomatoes and its helped, but im happy on the path im on.
