This is a new symptom for me in the past week, which seems to be getting worse in the last day. It started out, that I would get a full bladder, or the feeling of one, but wouldn't be able to pass very much urine, although the pressure would subside even with a small amount of peeing. But now, I have a constant level of pressure in my abdomen, but not really my bladder, and as my bladder fills (and it's pressure increases) my ovaries (or what I think are my ovaries) have been getting very achy, sore, and painful. The pain is relieved slightly when I pee, but overall, has been quite constant. It doesn't hurt or burn when I pee, anywhere, except in and around where my ovaries are. I don't know where all this is coming from all of a sudden. I don't really know what the symptoms of a bladder infection are though, and if maybe it correlates?

Hey girl -
there's a member I hope will reply, chicagogal who has been all through this and has a couple threads. I bet she will post. I am on the road today bit I will check back tonite to see if you're sorted.
I had a lot of pee trouble after my surgery. I do notice having way more issues with peeing when I am eating wheat and sugar. I'll check back later Pretty

Hmm, can't quite say I've had that feeling before, but might be worth it to get a urine test to check for a bladder infection. Sometimes the pain might radiate a bit?
Are you eating anything differently, drinking more/less water, any new meds/supplements? Hope it gets squared away soon!

hmm... I don't really know what is up. It seems to hurt less today, but the thing is, it doesn't actually hurt to pee, just the weird abdomen/ovary cramping pain I get with periods happens instead. I've never had this before this past week. I don't think I am doing anything differently. I had the flu last week though - so I don't know if maybe it made me more susceptible to catching something else? Or maybe my cysts are just acting up a bit more then usual. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow anyway, so maybe I will bring it up while I am there, to see what she thinks. Its really weird though, and I hate how symptoms just keep appearing! Just when you get used to the ones you have, and learn how to deal with them, something else crops up!

Hi!
Well, my peeing issue is related directly to my period. My period is weird - I am fine usually one day 1, it's more day 2 or 3 when all hell breaks loose. On my worst day I just have a hard time getting the pee to come out. I will sit on the toilet and want to pee ( there is no buring or anything like a UTI ) but I have to squeeze and push to get the urine started - sometimes I feel like I'm going to puke but never have. Then finally the pee comes. It's absolutely awful. I have found if I use a therma care wrap or a microwave hot chery pit back and hold it to my belly that helps. I also have found if I drink a ton of water to get my bladder really good and full I can pee a little better. This lasts only for a day or two adn then it goes away. I noticed this month around 1 day for ovulation I had the problem with peeing again but it wasn't half as bad as when I have my period. The only other thing I can think of for you is to get checked for bacterial vaginitis / yeast. I had this problem also afew months back and it was because of the bacterial vaginitis. Back in October I had a bladder infection and with that it's very hard to pee as well - you can get a urine test with a urine culture to rule that out. It could be anything, better to just keep track of your symptoms and tell the doctor. I have been tracking my potty habits for months now, just to see exactly when I have this urine hesitancy issue and it's always with my period. I'm good the rest of the month. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions!

hmm... that's really interesting chicagogal. I find it so weird how all of our bodies react, and find new ways to F us over. I had an ultrasound done a few weeks ago, and I finally get to have my results tomorrow. I am wondering if maybe my cysts have just grown, causing them to push in on my full bladder, thereby irritating them, but that wouldn't really explain why I had a hard time getting the pee to start coming. Also though, I've never had a UTI or bladder infection before, so I don't really know what to look out for. I will ask tomorrow. Thanks for sharing! You are making me think!

One thing I learned after my surgery, was that my pelvic muscles were in constant spasm, and this affected my ability to have a BM and also I think peeing was affected. Months and months later the tension has lessened but during my period I feel like the whole pelvic area tenses up and decreases my ability to relax and 'let go'.
My surgeon was actually the one who pointed this out and she suggested Pelvic Physical Therapy in addidtion to a cream that I apply internally. It is from a compounding pharmacy and includes amitriptyline and baclofen. It is meant to relax the muscles internally and seemed to work ok. however I think PPT is a good option, and a good physical therapist will be familiar with both the cause and the possible treatments. Mine seemed familiar and worked on the pelvic muscles very effectively (from the outside thank god). Anyhow pelvic muscle spasms seemed to cause my very serious constipation issues for months before and after surgery, but changes in my diet and lifestyle have resolved the problem for me. I hope you can get some relief soon!

I don't know what my body is doing to me. I think it just likes playing games. I have been fine all day today, and was last night too. I talked to my doctor, and she didn't really know what to think, but didn't think it was an infection of any kind. So I don't know...
I guess I'll just have to monitor it, nd keep track of it if it keeps happening.

I am prone to UTI's, although I don't know why. When I get them (or am about to get one), I get the feeling of needing to pee, but I know my bladder is empty. I find that drinking a lot of water and waiting until I 'know' I need to go (that sounds weird, but you learn to feel the difference between a real need to go and a 'false' one so to speak). I find that then having a good pee tends to help. The pain I get with this is an aching pain low in my abdomen that if I don't address turns into burning and eventually a UTI. I find a heat pad like Chica said helps, and a hot water bottle between my legs helps until the symptoms pass. I actually had this, this morning, but caught it before it turned into a UTI. This may be nothing to do with how you're feeling but just in case I thought I'd post

Hey Gemstone,
I don't think that's quite what I am feeling, but thanks for the advice! It will be excellent to know ahead of time, if I do develop any other symptoms, to head off more pain.

I just switched to a new probiotic called femdophilis by jarrow. This probiotic is made specifically for women to help keep the vaginal flora correct to prevent bacterial vaginitis/yeast. Gem - I was reading online about IC and people with IC are using this product called Desert Harvest - please check out the link below - it's supposed to be great and might be something that could help your urinary symptoms. www.desertharvest.com/testimonials-interstitial.html
