I was wondering if anyone else has a very sensitive abdomen, I actually live wearing yoga pants, and have always had trouble with not feeling well wearing tight cloths. So Today as I was wearing jeans for the first time in a two weeks, and feeling crummy I was wondering if anyone had this problem too, and if there is any fix for it.

Can you explain a bit more about what you're talking about? What kind of sensitive do you mean?

yes - sorry about that, I mean that my skin and adopose tissue (fat layers) seems to not tollerate alot of touch or tightness. so tight cloths feel uncomfortable, especially around my waist and belly button. If I am sitting I will either have to move my pants up to just under my breasts or down to just above where my underwear sits. I usually have to have a undershirt tucked into my pants at all times, so that things won`t bother me.

I have felt hypersensitive before but it's passed thankfully and in my case it was mental I think. I can imagine this being a nightmare for you Tara! Can your doctor refer you to a neurologist for investigation?

Tara I know exactly what you're talking about. I'm the same way. I wear PJs as much as I can...putting on my skinny jeans only when I have to do something. And I found some that are a little loose so my belly doesn't feel like its being strangled. In fact, if I'm in bed, I don't even wear pants, just my undies, cuz it feels better on my poor belly.

The only thing I can think of that comes close is just a generalized discomfort when my abdomen is bloated. When clothes are tight, it's such a crappy feeling. You shouldn't be feeling pain though. Being uncomfortable, overly sensitive, is one thing. But pain isn't a good thing in my opinion. Have you noticed your clothes are a little tighter lately?

I get this at certain points of the month. Clothes feel annoying more than anything and I also get a very sensitive spot on the left side of my abdomen which feels a bit like when you touch a burn that's a few days old, if that makes sense!

it`s nice to hear that others have this. This is unrelated to bloating, because when I have that and look 7 months pregnant, I wear dresses. I also don`t have a cycle anymore, so nothing related to that either. I have seen a neruologist, but nothing ever came of it. Oh and it isn`t wait gain, as I have recently lost 20 lbs and three dress sizes, but still the sensitivity prosists no matter what size I am. I was just thinking maybe it was an endo thing....

How weird. I wonder why you're feeling all that. Have you noticed anything that makes it better or worse?

Mine is very sensitive, I can't wear anything tight anymore. My kids are always trying to climb on top of me and I wont' let them. I think its just so full of endo and holes that its really, really, annoyed.

I agree Omak. It doesn't matter if I lose weight, put on weight or anything. I love little kids and I let them climb all over me but often now I can't. How sad endo does this to our lives.

oh I know, my kids love to sit with me and just a touch across my tummy can cause pain, an elbow to the tummy makes me groan, sometimes I have to kick the kids off, but they are getting very use to hearing me groaning and moaning, how sad is that.

I have not come up with anything that helps, except not wearing tight pants, so I mostly wear loose yoga like pants, and dresses in summer as I can`t wear the tight tights under dresses in winter.

Hi Tara, I don't think that's weird at all, I am exactly the same way, I LOVE my yoga pants and have always hated jeans my mom was always trying to get me to wear them and when I shopped with my friends just trying them on I would be like there just too tight and uncomfortable even if they say the "fit". I tried amytriptyline because my doctor said it could be related to pain and being "moody" which I definitly am but unfortunately that medication made me feel like I was a zombie so I had to stop taking it but the pain went away and I could wear whatever I wanted. I try to wear jeans when I'm out and when I get home I can't wait to put my PJ's back on. I do think its related to pain. I even can't let my cat sit on my belly watching tv because her little paws dig in. so I feel for you Tara.
