Well! I have spent the last month with a brutal disregard for what I have and haven't been putting into my stomach, and lo and behold, the following period was a lot worse than usual. I was having plenty of sugar, fat, caffeine, etc; and barely any vegetables and good stuff. Does anyone else have any stories that reversely prove that diet helps?

Yup. If I eat the normal half-way healthy stuff I have pretty much eaten since I was 12, cramps that have me in the fetal position. If I start a 95% healthy diet balancing complex carbs and protein as few as 5 days before my period is due, 0 cramps.

More evidence.
I've been continuing to eat poorly because I am going to start dieting after my upcoming op (ridiculous plan I know, but I think it will work for me, I need to feel like I made the most of junk food when I had the chance and can move right past it).
My mid-month pain has been WAY WAY WAY worse than usual!!

Hey Aussie! Good Luck with the pre op munchies!! However, I have no cravings for any of the foods i loved prior to my surgery. The more I look at them the more i hate them for contributing to my pain! Im on a light diet now, however I am drinking cordial (liquid sugar i know!!) Enjoy those things now as you wont want them afterwards!

Yep, am certain diet helps. Have good news everyone and here seems a very appropriate place to put it. Am FINALLY getting better. After so long of deteriorating am improving. I can only put it down to 2 possible things, i no longer have any stress, since dad died i can no longer stress over his health, and major dietary changes. I tend to think more of it is the diet changes. Have gone gluten free, i also try and balance my carbs with a protein in every meal as much as possible. Cut out sugar almost altogether ( i do have a little in my gluten free biscuits, but no ones perfect), barely any caffeine, minimal dairy, lots of fish. I still eat eggs occasionally and the occasional bit of red meat (roo meat, so lean and organic). Unbelievably am improving, actually functioning around the house, doing the odd jobs, able to walk around a little, not super exhausted. Have been gluten free around 2 months, and much more stricter as a therepeutic diet for about a month. Its wonderful to be improving. Nothing else has ever helped my pain, but the diet seems to be doing just that. Will keep updating on my progress

KB, congratulations on such wonderful news!!! I am overjoyed for you! I hope the improvements keep on coming - and from the sounds of it you can surely expect them to! YAY!! I have always admired your strength and determination, I'm so glad they are yielding such good results; you are such an inspiration!

I also am a endo diat believer...I happen to have more pain and spotting bafor following teh diat. Now, I am trying to stick in my diat as much as possible. I eat a lot of fish, vegi, fruits, rice milk everyday with oatmeal, no suger if possible, fewer eggs, no milk,no butter, no red meat(occationally), less checken...etc. i tested my pain like eating red meat 2-3 days and having sever pain...

I'm wondering if I should explore the gluten free diet... I have major tummy/abdominal pain after eating cereal and pasta, but have done little experimenting. Haven't noticed any affects from red meat, some dairy and no coffee. I pretty much eat what I want, even though I pay for it often. I'm intending on beginning a food journal, am just lazy... I have found tho, that I can hardly drink fruit juice, and drink juice with acidophilous. It's really good, and probiotic milk, yogurt etc, except this is dairy. Does anyone know of probiotic soymilk?

If your body isnt reacting to dairy, dont get too caught up in cutting it out. There are no rules to this, do what works. If the probiotic milk and yoghurt works well, keep having it.
I think anythings worth at least trying. The good thing about diet changes is it cant actually do any harm, the worst that can happen is nothing, so its worth a try.
Food journals are a good idea, ive tried that, but found there was no direct trigger foods, and i can find no pattern in when im bad and what i eat. But, i have improved cutting gluten out.
