Those of us in the US are celebrating Thanksgiving today. It has turned into a day of eating way too much and planning a shopping strategy for the biggest shopping day of the year (tomorrow), but its true meaning is still there. I'm forever thankful for my endo women for your advice, support, and just plain knowing there are others out there that understand the same challenges I have. Wishing you and your families a great Thanksgiving! And for those of us on the endo diet, we CAN channel that willpower to avoid cheats. Or at least avoid full size portions of cheats.

Happy thanksgiving to all you ladies, I'm grateful to have you all around and you've really kept my head straight in what has been a slightly difficult but uplifting year overall. I hope that whatever you're all doing this extended weekend, that you have a restful time with your loved ones and can eat something yummy that doesn't hurt your diet/tummy/endo with no trouble at all. Here's the quote I totally stole off the ERC's facebook page, I thought it was lovely:
"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace...for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow." ~ Melody Beattie ~
I guess it gives us strength in our little battles against endo and it's far reaching effects, to be grateful for what we do have, because it makes all the difference. For me, not having my friends around as much when I'm ill, I'm grateful that I have internet access and so much understanding and support from my sisters so many miles away, you guys make me feel that I'm never alone in this. So I'll celebrate Thanksgiving in my own little way too, it's a great sentiment that goes beyond the pilgrims all those years ago. Love and hugs to you all, enjoy your turkey and tofurkey ladies!

this is making me wish I lived in a town.... with A MALL! I love shopping.... but there's nowhere to shop here unless you like wood and nails, or alternately, fishing gear and boat parts.... I'm thankful for YOU! Thanks ladies for helping me through my first year of endo, here's to next year being better for all of us!
