I am thinking of you as always. So sorry it is getting worse Cherry! Stay home and rest it sounds like a few days off is what will work best for you and the computer eye level comment ignore. Everyone has a suuggestion when it comes to health. Some you listen to others go in one ear and out the other. I do agree with Gem on the yoga it can get things going in a right direction. Wii Fit has a yoga program that is awesome.

Yoga has been a lifesaver for me, from the endo pain and also for injuries from years as a dancer, but I'm not dealing with the intense, debilitating pain you are trying to beat right now. However, the yoga people claim that it balances hormones, helps with thyroid and liver function, and etc, in addition to realigning all of your pieces.
It's not a quick fix. I do the bikram yoga--which is in a very hot and humid room, and is more of a physical therapy yoga than traditional yoga. The heat can be difficult at first, but it helps your body make adjustments much faster. I also find it boring, unfortunately, but it helps me so much I keep going.
My yoga teachers were actually the ones that encouraged me finally to find a doctor that would take my complaints seriously. They kept telling me I had "injuries" in my pelvis, and I kept responding, "well it hurts but doctors keep telling me it's nothing". I thought it was interesting that the yoga instructors could tell I had something wrong, when ob/gyns couldn't guess.
Also, since you're in so much pain right now, telling the instructors what is going on might help them help you a bit more. good luck.

Unfortunately I don't have a Wii but I have the top membership at my normal gym so the yoga classes are included, I think I'll start Next Friday. If I want to push it I can do power yoga at my combat gym, I don't know anywhere off the top of my head that does bikram yoga, it sounds great! I love intense stuff. I'm all about regaining control of my body and realising it's power, in spite and because of everything. Thanks for the input ladies, myrtle especially with all of the information! I am blown away by how this is eclipsing my endo pain and finally understanding why people with back pain are so miserable. I'm having a better day, really reached a low yesterday morning and luckily my trainer called off my lesson for personal reasons, I would have cried with frustration right the way through it. So I stayed home and boogied around a bit whilst trying to stay out of bed, then finally got up the guts to take a walk around my local park. It's gorgeous to me mostly because it's so mature and all of the huge park mansions around it. Anyway before I start waxing lyrical about Sefton Park, the walk really helped my back. I imagine the pain made me tense up something horrible which then made it even worse. And it's period week. No wonder I'm being such a misery arse.

Yeah I'm trying not to make a habit of it just because I'm not in work. Must not abuse my bed prviliges haha! Progress this week then: Doc is p*ssed off because he can't work out what to do with me. Seriously was. I had a spiteful moment of thinking 'well how do you think I feel then, you useless dickhead' Doc has not been able to bring pain clinic appointment forward (his suggestion) and from his tone this morning I don't think he's really tried. Other doc has suggested to my sister that I asked specifically for Lidocaine patches at the next pain clinic appointment, after she spoke to a woman with MS on one of her jobs about how she manages her pain and nervy leg stuff. A nice walk in a good setting has helped the pain and made me really appreciate that I can still move when I push myself and that it helps me sleep too. My body is now used to the gabapentin at 1800mg a day but I'm still taking it for the time being. I don't know why. I can only get a TeNS or TSe unit prescribed by the pain clinic too. I have my EMG scheduled which sounds frankly yucky. No MRI booked yet. Gym tomorrow and physio Friday!

Just called to speak to the pain clinic as I realised I didn't know the exact date of my next appointment, got straight through and was put straight through to my doctor's secretary, who advised she hasn't got any openings but would look out for a cancellation for me. She's had no emails or messages left by my doctor or his surgery in the last 2 days. So peeved right now!

Sorry you're hurting Can't believe your doc didn't even try to bring your appointment forward! Tosser. You can have my leg to clobber him with, if you wish. EMG (had to google it) doesn't sound fun at all. Could you maybe buy a cheapy TENS machine to tide you over? You can get decent-ish ones on ebay? Hugs. xx

Geez cherry, can't they do anything right? It's just absurd what you have to go through to get help.
I've had an EMG before. I had it in February. It's not all that bad, you'll be ok. Come to think of it, they never gave me my results and I completely forgot about it. LOL useless..
Anyways! Cherry! I'm glad despite all of this that you are still able to find the motivation to at least get out and walk. It can be difficult at times especially with what you're going through. I really hope these people get their sh*t together and get your appointments squared away. I hate seeing you go through this.

Ugh this back pain and leg tingles is back with a vengeance today along with the feeling of 'just ill' for lack of better description. So I'm off again cos there's honestly no sitting work like a lemon chained to my desk when its like this. I'm not miserable like last week thankfully. On the better side of things, Neil in physio gave me some core strengthening exercises to take the strain off my back muscles. Which seemed to like most of the muscles in my lower body, clenched like a fist and nowhere to go. He didn't say it as he's not mentioned the lordosis since he examined me but I suspect its to straighten out my spine too. I can't wait for yoga. I simply can't wait for gym tomorrow. And I see my most un-favourite person on the planet at the moment, Pain (in my ass) Doc next week, then more physio the same day and then dun dun duhhhhn the consultant radiologist has signed off on my full spine MRI and bumped it to urgent as I have my MRI on the 8th of June, the day after my emg test.

Yeah I'm relieved to finally have it booked! Neil has said after 48 hours he can get my results so to book another physio appointment and rather than waiting til September he will go over the MRI for me. I'm so lucky that he's genuinely nice and unhappy that I'm waiting 4 months for follow-up.
