I don't know that this is really a rant, but I've just been wondering if anyone else besides myself gets really frustrated and annoyed with men a lot easier when on your period. Every little thing that they do just gets me annoyed, and I'm not really sure why. I tend to get a little more annoyed by everything in general, but especially something either a man does or says. I just want to tell him to piss off.

OH GOD. Don't get me started on this one, lolol!!! They always try to turn something stupid/thoughtless they did around on YOU, like you're a huge b*tch and are making a mountain out of a molehill. I always like to remind them that PMS does not create a sh*tty mood, it just amplifies it... so, yes... if you do something IRRITATING, you man, you... don't cry when I'm quicker to kick you in the bollocks for it. I actually lol'd when I saw the title of this thread.

I can't say it's particularly around my periods because with my being such a misery guts at that time, I am very laid back and try not to snip at people. In general they just piss me off. They either want me to mother them or to play stupid, and I can't I have verbal diarrhoea and say what I think. In either case I just want them to stir a coffee with their penises. They annoy me but I want one. There should be an anonymous hug'n'kick service. for £10 an hour you can get cuddles from a masked man then kick him in the arm at the end of your hour.

Yeah I'm with sunshine. Don't even get me started. I'm frustrated that our bodies go through WAY more crap than theirs and they wonder why we're tired all the time. Hey buddy, try living through the crap I deal with and see if you are still smiling. They are just dumb ALL THE TIME. ugh!

It's kinda sad that I just feel relieved that I don't have a man too close to make me feel bad about it all. I'm very wary of that, my ex tortured me for it. I just thought 'yeah I'd love to be running around everywhere in my car with a mother to cook and clean for me and pay my bills for me, then go to the gym and feel great because I don't want to puke at the end... oh poo sorry, I'm a woman with a chronic pain disease and my own household to run, I apologise for not being fun enough' The worst thing was that when you put a brave face on, it goes along the lines of 'well you're clearly ok' and if you're quiet because you're tired or hurting, you're moody or even just a b*tch. Go stir a coffee with your penis. The guys around me atm just treat me like a matron and a therapist.

OMG you are so right! You try to put a brave face on and suddenly they don't care about how you feel. Then you try to show how you feel and suddenly you're a bitch. UGH
I have tons of rants about men and my frustration but I'm not if I should unleash that fury here. LOL

I work with men a lot, and I think I just get super irritated when I'm hurting or in pain, and I can't do anything about it, and then I hear one of them say something, or complain because they got really drunk and are hungover, or did something to them self to make them feel like crap, but they are demanding attention from it.
And I swear, if another man tells me that if I just relaxed I probably wouldn't feel any pain, I'm gonna throw some punches. "Gee, why didn't I try relaxing! of course, it all makes sense now, and my problem is gone. Thanks man! you're so wise!"

LOL! This is great! I work mainly with men and I have to give it to them, they have been incredibly understanding when I have had to work from home due to pain and exhaustion, but I don't think they really "got it" until I told them yesterday that I am going in for surgery next week. It was lile, "Oh, sh*t, she wasn't just complaining because of every day cramps".
Yeah, you guys try bleeding all the time, being exhausted and in pain and being the ones to push a baby out of the end of your penis, then get back with me.

Yep, my reaction to certain things is definitely worse at certain times of the month. Not necessarily when I have my period though. PMT more like. I was having a heart to heart with my (male) boss (the w*nker) last week and he said 'That's the thing that bugs me about you women, one day I can make a comment and you'll be fine, the next time you'll bite my head off'. Well you know what.....DON'T SAY IT JERK!

my hubby is a man and I feel like you all have summed it up so well, there's no more to say. like yesterday he tells me that his dad is coming to town, and since I just came home from having surgery he thinks that is a good enough 'excuse' that if I don't want to go to dinner with him and his dad, that he will 'forgive' me for that! I lost it I was like, oh, so it took me having surgery for almost 8 hours for you to GET that endo is a real disease that HURTS? fvck!

AAAAAAAAaaargh. Thank goodness for the ones who actually give a sh*t. But most of them are really retarded about it.
Cherry - I love the multiple coffee stirring references, lol! I also like to think about telling them, "Why don't you go outside and lie on your back, so I know what time it is," or "Go hold up a big towel."
