Instead of taking one whole vicodin at the scheduled time, it might be easier to eat something, and take half at half-time intervals. That's what I had to do when I had a back injury. Darvocet is in the same class of drugs, but isn't as hard-hitting for me, as it comes on gradually. Vicodin is infamous for knocking me on my ass, so I only take that when I absolutely have to. Flexeril is good for killer cycle cramps, with darvocet, and if I need extra help, some ibuprofen and a heating pad work wonders.
Hope that helps, and you get some relief, soon.

Flexeril never worked for my cramps, but it knocks me out. Darvocet makes me puke. And I was only taking half a vicodin at a time (5-500 is my strength). And normally I can kinda function on them, its my Tramadols that make me konked out. But I don't know what's going on. Its like my body is saying enough is enough and I don't want any more drugs

I developed an allergy to the tylenol that is in vicodin. that's how I got onto dilaudid. But I prefer tramadol. sometimes I wing it without anything, like today, and just try to get some work done. good luck honey I know you're struggling with this and you're just so young. Keep that chin up.

I haven't been able to find pain relief at all in tyelnol or ibuprofen in a long time, i think i need something a little stronger, though i did notice when i got into a car accident that somehow tramadol and flexiril made things sooooo much better. I didn't get super sleepy and i had no pain. My gyn right now wont give me anything for pain, i am on lupron and about to get my last shot (i hated this treatment, i dont think it worked for me, losing hair, night sweats, cant sleep all night, mood swings, etc the works basically). I do have bad luck with side effects, if it's a possible side effect, i usually get it. lol. I am slowly working on the diet, so far so good, no relief yet, but it's only been a week (and im getting rid of one things a a time).

You need a different doc! this one seems pretty clueless. The number one symptom of endo is... wait for it..... PAIN! if she is not trusting you to be honest about pain and your need for a painkiller then you need a different doc. Or at least a doc who will prescribe a painkiller for when you need one.... jeesh! these people I swear, why are they even doctors! idiots!

Ugh Tara I am having the same experience. Mine will give me Vicodin but Vicodin doesn't work for me so its totally pointless. I think she thinks I'm a druggie or something and yet I plainly told her "You can have all the Vicodin back because I haven't taken it because it does no good." Aghhhhhhh doctors!
