So, I've hummed and haahed about where to put this - general or diet - and went for general saying as it's directly about diet for endo. But....has anyone watched the Jamie Oliver programme where he's gone to the States? He's in Huntington, West Virginia which is apparently statistically the unhealthiest city in the States. It brings tears to my eyes knowing what he's done or tried to do for school children in the UK, I hope he can do some good in the US. For anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about, Google 'Jamie's School Dinners' and 'Jamie's American Food Revolution'. He's a bit of a modern day hero for me, as annoying as he can be at times with that London twang!

Yup, I watched it and was in AWE! Basically, he calls out Americans for eating absolute crap, and he has every reason to! So many Americans feel it's their right to eat as sh*tty as possible, and then complain when docs can't help them. His show points out what a difference good nutrition can make, and though some people don't want to hear it, he shouts it from the rooftops. Very good show, really highlights what's going on!

It was incredible what he did over here for schoolkids. Showed how much their behaviour can be different depending on what they eat. Some kids were vomiting fecal matter, they were so badly constipated......

Um, gross, but wow!
So how long has the program been in schools in the UK? I'd be interested to see some longer-term results of the changes (obesity, ADHD, diabetes, etc.).

I think it was a good 4 years ago that he started. I'm not sure what info there is yet.

Oh geez, I just watched the episode where he finally got the radio DJ to come round........I cried my eyes out, streaming down my face. That guy should be sainted.

Yep that all looks pretty gross. Did you read any of the comments at the bottom? There's debate over the actual substance. Apparently it could be insulating foam!

The first one looks a bit suspect (though they are wearing white coats and gloves, which makes me think they're working with some sort of food product) but the photos down further certainly look a lot less like insulation!
