Unfortuantely, I am unable to eat most fruits and vegetable unless they are boiled/steamed to death, or blended. Because of my IBD, many high fiber foods are not consumable for me.
I am new to Endo, but have always had the pain. Can anyone tell me if this diet looks Endo friendly according to your knowlegde/experience?
I am determined to relieve my pain, if the doctors can't. Here is my list:
BREAKFAST
Multi-vitamin
Oatmeal
Bagel
Toast w/ peanut butter (whole grain bread)
Muffin
Cooked cereal
Orange Juice
Smoothie (yogurt & berries, or banana & peanut butter)
Eggs (good for Crohn’s, bad for Endo…)
SNACK
Smoothie (yogurt & berries, or yogurt, banana & peanut butter)
Yogurt
Raisins
Nutritional drink (V8, Boost, etc…)
Bagel
Muffin
Pretzels
Toast (whole grain bread)
Peanuts
IF ABSOLUTELY NEED SUGAR
Gummy bears
Jelly beans
Dark Chocolate (only dark chocolate because it is beneficial for the heart)
LUNCH
Nutritional drink (V8, boost, etc…)
Peanut butter & jelly sandwich
Turkey sandwich (whole wheat bread, pita bread, or bun)
Turkey burger (buns)
Chicken (baked or grilled) sandwich (whole wheat bread, pita bread, or bun)
Tuna sandwich (whole wheat bread or Pita)
Onions
Tomatoes
Garlic
Pasta (whole grain – if whole grain too chewy, try half whole wheat and half white flower pasta)
Smoothie (yogurt & berries, or yogurt, banana & peanut butter)
DINNER
Chicken (baked or grilled)
Turkey
Turkey sausage
Tuna
Fish (trout)
Baked/steamed potatoes
Sweet potatoes
Brown Rice
Onions
Tomatoes
Garlic
Parsley/Sage
Pita bread
Buns
Pasta (whole grain – if whole grain too chewy, try half whole wheat and half white flower pasta)
(Any sauce is ok in moderation)
NOTES
Have at least one smoothie per day
Drink lots of water
Take multi-vitamins
Take supplements
Avoid high fat
Avoid high protein
Need high fiber
Vegetable oil instead of butter, or margarine
Let me know what you ladys think, Thanks!
P.S. I put the fruits and veggies in that I can digest without pain. Any other fruit/veggie is not edible.
