I am 19 and have had endometreosisfor around a year. My pain becomes debilitating at times and Ive found it to be interferring in just about every aspect of my life. I've been being seen by my gyn for 8 mo now and all she seems to be telling me is to " hurry up and get pregnant so we can go ahead and pull everything out of you"...WoW... how do you process something like that at my age? so then I went to my PCP and he told me that I should consider pregnancy b/c it's like a "natural healer" for endometriosis and polycystic ovarian disease(another one of my current ailments). I guess what I'm wondering is has anyone else had this experience and is pregnancy really an option I should be considering...I'm so young but I don't want to lose my chances at ever becoming pregnant, any advice?

I guess it would depend on how badly you want to have kids and if you're with someone who can handle it. It does sound like you're under a time crunch, but don't let that force you into making a decision you may later regret.

I'm 21 and suspected of having endo since my first year of periods. First specialist I see, he tells me well we can do *man* hormones or a full hysterectomy, after me asking him a lot about me and my husband getting pregnant. So I did nothing, stopped my current birth control pills and weirdly enough my continuous bleeding (I'm talking 3 out of 4 weeks of period) and headaches and leg cramps stopped. Now I know that was stupid because today was one of thee most painful events of my life. Right now I'm waiting on a call from my new and improved specialist to let me know when to come in (diff city) so I can push for the lap. My thing is, you know when a lap is right for you. Do your research in advance so you know all the pros & cons of having it done, and when your at the point I am when your fainting every 2 hrs and then crying the rest of the day because your in so much pain and so frustrated, then you'll know it's time.
Only you can decide if it's right for you, you need to gage your own opinions on the pain and the havoc it is CURRENTLY causing in your life.

wow, im glad im not the only one getting rushed to get pregnant at 19. im about to have my 4th surgery and again the doc is wanting me to hurry with the bun in the oven...however like you im not sure im ready. if i were you i would sit down and weigh out all the good and the bad. would you be willing to wait, despite that might interfere with your future outcome?
good luck!!!
