I have an opportunity to receive a shot monthly that will remiss my period, but i learned that it raises the chances of me being infertile. Hi, what is this drug called, and did they tell you what the actions are, what it does? It is worth researching fully, I don't think I've ever heard of an endo treatment that does that and I'd like to learn more

Hey I haven't been on for a while I've been so busy. I'm off at college this year taking veterinary technology. I've been really busy b.c. schools just love giving us tests after tests however i've learned not to get stressed because it just makes me way worse and i've been doing amazing in my classes. Even though all was going well it hasn't been the last month. I'm only supposed to get my period once a year to help with the endo but I've had it four times in a month not cool at all. I'd get it for 4-5 days and lose it for 2-3 days. Obviously like any women i'm exhausted and irritated. I called my specialist and explained it to them, she got me in for a week or two later. My appointment is this monday and i'm nervous, i've been on this birth control for 2 yrs so i'm not sure if she'll change it or what i fear -having surgery again. I don't feel like having it and I have a hard time recovering from the anesthetic.

WOW. im in complete amazement after reading everyones post. i cant explain the relief i feel knowing im not the only teenager who stays at home on a friday night curled in the fetal position due to the incredible pain of endo. im actually about to have my 4th surgery..there are alot of risks at hand which is scary. im 19..nearly 20 and was diagnosed at 14. ive been in and out of hospitals left and right and have had every pill known to mankind thrown down my throat. i just wanted to wish everyone the best of luck with the endo.

hey! i haven't seen any teens on in awhile! i'm 17, almost 18. was diagnosed when i was 15. i only had one surgery, and probably went through about 6 or 7 different kinds of medicines, plus pain killers, and still it's hard to find relief. not only that, but trying to have people especially friends understand what's going on. none of my friends ever heard of it and it sucks explaining it. i have had countless amounts of cysts, one was removed, the rest ruptured (painful).
