I hope by current cat gets along with him. I'm a little scared about that!

Cats usually hiss at eachother at first but then get over it. Give em time. They'll come around. Also Karen knows pretty well about cats who don't get along. LOL Maybe she can give you advice?

Ha, I'm the wrong one to ask! I did everything by the book, kept them in separate rooms for a few days so they could get used to each other's smells, introduced them for short periods of time and then hid them away again, etc. and 9+ years later, they still hate each other! (Though I did see them sleeping on the bed yesterday less than a foot away from each other... progress!)

lol that just cracks me up! I remember the picture you posted where they were both sleeping on your bed. HAHA and they hate eachother!
What do they do Karen? Do they fight all the time?

Oh my gosh, perhaps I need to look some stuff up online. I kind of assumed I would just plop him down and go. haha
I bought some stuff for him today (kitten food, a small littler box, etc) for the room we're going to lock him in. We figure he can be in there for a week and after a few days start bringing him out for little bits at a time. And Willow (my girl, who's a year) will still have her run of the house so she can stiff around his door a bit.

One always hisses at the other, but the other kind of provokes her by sniffing around too much. Sometimes they brawl, but most of the time, it's just nasty looks and one leaves the room when the other enters.
I've heard that it's best to get opposite sex cats, that two girls or two boys can be an issue, so perhaps you'll be just fine!
I LOVE kittens! The sideways run with the tail up is the BEST!

haha I haven't had a kitten for the last 15+ years so I don't remember what they do! I'm looking forward to it. The humane society says he's 6 months but I dunno....I think him and his sister look pretty little for 6 months.

haha it was supposed to sound like a remodel. We bought a house in March and have been doing nothing but painting, decorating, etc since we moved in. CRAZY busy, but all the little stuff is almost all done. Major stuff next year.
