So Ive been dealing with this rash thing on my arm. Its not really a rash but I don't know what else to call it. 3 dr's can't figure it out. the dermatologist took two biopsies and i have two stitches in my left arm (1 in each cut). Long story SUPER short, I refuse to go back to the dr who put them in. I had to file an official complaint in order to go to a different dr, which he got a copy of. My new nurse told me how to take them out myself because (and this is a direct quote "Dr Knoble isn't going to touch Dr P's stitches". Whatever, I've taken stitches out of my cat, and other people before, no biggie.
First, my stitches don't seem like normal ones at all AND it seems like my skin is sort of healed over it. My fiance tried and I'll I've got is a sore arm, he can't find the bottom of the cut. My mom is coming over (she's removed a million stitches), to try but I don't think she'll be able too because the bottom of the knots are under my skin so you can't get under the knots.
Other dr's aren't going to remove another dr's stitches, I'm worried that they are going to have to cut my skin back open to take these stupid ass ones out, and I don't want to be forced to go back to this dr who's going to be pissed I complained and let him cut something out of me.
This is probably really rambling but This has been a 3 week long headache that's only getting worse and worse and I'm literally at my breaking point. I feel like I'm going to just snap and break down right now. I know it's probably stupid but I literally can't help it.

Hey Lizzylou,
This all sounds like a rubbish situation, and it's totally fair to want to have a tantrum. You've got to be able to express your frustration somehow. I live in NZ so don't know how it works where you are but perhaps you could go to an emergency department? Maybe throw a wobbly somewhere it will cause a scene so people have to pay attention to you?! Seems to work in extreme situations for kids??!!
I can't offer too much constructive stuff other than to say if the rash thing is a recurring issue try organic raw non-de-oderised coconut oil. You can apply it topically and/or ingest it daily or twice daily for as long as you feel you need to. This stuff is amazing. It heals all manner of things as it's anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic, anti-bacterial and so on. I use it in all of my cooking, it was recommended to me by a friend so I have no hard & fast recommendation to back me up except my own experience. It even helps repair scarring at a crazy rate so if worse comes to worst and you have to have more incisions made, apply it topically and keep it quite moist (so regular applications) and the healing should happen in no time.
Dumb that you're dealing with inept twits (I don't mean your fiance!), but chin up, keep going. You'll do it. Great good luck.
Helinor.

My mom came over at a ridiculous late hour for her to be leaving the house. Basically her and the fiance had to tag team. One had to pull the stitch really hard (and from my point of view it was REALLY hard), and the other one just of dug the scissors under it to cut under the knot. It hurt pretty bad because the quack of a dr put them in stupid. But they are out, and besides being a tiny bit sore from the ordeal, my arm feels better already.
Thanks for the advice for the rash, but it's not really a rash, it's more under my skin. It's like a bunch of dark freckles all the way up the inside of my arm. I've posted about the begining of my ordeal on here but nobody read it so I stopped updating it. I'm switching to a better dr, but have to wait a few weeks to get it. Whatever!

Hey Lizzielou,
Glad they're out. That's awesome, and cool to know you're feeling better already. Honestly I so highly recommend this coconut oil, regardless of what it is that's wrong. Check out a book called Coconut Cures by Bruce Fife. Online there is a huge chunk of the book available to read and it is MINDBLOWING what this stuff can do. Ingesting it rather than topical use might be better but topical is still good as it soaks into the skin. A surprisingly yummy drink is hot water with the juice of one lemon, a pinch of salt and a tablespoon of coconut oil. If I'm brave I just take it as is.
Sorry if it sounds like a preach to you but I've found it is sooo good to use that I can't stop raving. (You should hear my friends feed it to me when I start up!).
Glad you're on the mend. Good luck. Where did you post about the beginning?

DUDE Lizzylou, who the EFF is that doctor that EFFED up your arm!?!?!??!?
In the ER, we used to get people just like you with botched up stitches either from doctor error or the patient leaving them in too long. And guess who's job it was to dig them out? MINE! Or any other ER medic. You probably could have gone to the ER if you didn't want to dig them out yourself. They would have taken them out. How long have you had this rash? And how did it start? Does anything make it better or worse?
Oh and Helinor, I am interested in the coconut oil thing! I wanna try it!

I will definatly look up coconut oil stuff.
It's not really a rash, I keep calling it that for a lack of another name for it. I went to a good dr today (they got me in early). he basically said It's nothing serious and it should hopefully fade during the winter. He admitted he hadn't seen anything like it and the people from lab hadn't either. But we know from the biopsies it's nothing serious so I'm not too concerned. He also said he's heard A LOT of complaints from this other dr's patients who refuse to go back to him. I feel a little relieved after see him.
Jenaya - it's like brown freckles that are from wrist to armpit on the inside of my left arm. I had them for about an hour and they went away, then 4 days later they came and stayed. Don't itch, they are flat, If I couldn't see them I honestly would't even know they were there. I went in to try and get rid of the ugly spots before a wedding I had, although that's come and gone and I've had these spots for almost 3 weeks now.

I'm so dumb. I forgot I knew about some of the coconut stuff! Coconut water is what used to be used in IVs back in the old days to re-hydrate people. It's loaded with great stuff! It's also supposedly excellent for hangovers. haha

Funny you ask, I was just talking about this today. It's fading on part of my arm, not all of it though. At my wrist where it was the darkest, it's almost completely gone. So I'm feeling pretty good about it.
