Well, I FAILED my algebra final all because of ENDO pain. Well, I really do STINK at math in general but the day of the final I was in so much pain, and in pain leading up to the final.
I am dying inside, just so low. This stinking disease! I feel horrible inside. I don't even know what my next move is. I need to re-educate and train myself to be employable. If I WERE employable I don't even know if I could work through this pain 2 wks out of the month. I have a Down Syndrome daughter who I need to be home for afterschool each day, no child care, so I can't work anyway. I am overwhelmed, and the source is because of THIS DISEASE. I am MAD.
Feeling like I was born to lose today ...

I am so sorry you are going through all this! It can be so hard to deal with situations at time! Good that you came and atleast shared with us! There are times when we feel- will things ever get better?! and then we just pull ourselves through..
I feel for you and we are always there for you whenever you need to vent out! I am going through counselling sessions myself to start learn to cope with things.. May be that can be of some help for you also? ((hugs))

Can you to them and ask about a re-sit? Explain your situation?

So sorry for your stress, it sounds like your overwhelmed. Wow-- going to school, trying to find work, caring for a child that requires extra attention. Sounds to me like your pretty amazing--I think us people who suffer with this disease need to give ourselves extra self-love when we can't perform at 100% all the time or maybe any of the time some months, and not beat ourselves up again and again. It's not your fault that you suffer, I would hope a Professor would allow you to take your test when you feel well!! Hang in there---

Really sorry sounds like you're overwhelmed. Just wondering if you have services in place for your daughter. I work for a non-profit that provides services for developmentally disabled individuals, I am in Alaska, but I think there are grant-based services you could apply for not just to take care of your daughter, but maybe help you with school/child care? I'm sure you know all about this type of thing, just from my experience sometimes folks are reluctant to apply for help becuase they think 'oh, someone else has it worse off than me', well in your case, seems like you could use a little support.... just a suggestion! Also, at your school, there should be a way for you to confidentially present the situation you are in, perhaps to a counselor or professor, to allow you to re-take your test after you have had time to study, etc. It is their job to help you, and it is in their best interest to keep you in school. Don't give up.

I meant to say, when I went back to school in my early 30's, I had several issues both with depression and (before I knew I had endo) lots of missed time for pain, etc. I was unaware that I could ask for help, my psychiatrist actually filled me in on that and pointed me in the right direction. I was able to turn in a late final, and passed the class. Little pep talk for you!

Oh no! I'm sorry you failed your exam. I know that's a horrible feeling. I hate to fail exams. Does this mean that you failed the class too or did you still manage to pass? Hang in there! If you need algebra help, there's tons of math nerds on here, me being one of them
