Hi everyone. I am a 26 year old with endometriosis. I am at a point in my life where I feel very overwhelmed at times because of the pain, and the normal stresses of life.
Me and my husband are trying to conceive and I need some helpful suggestions to relax and feel "happy"
Thank you

Kind of hard to be happy when you're in pain, isn't it? Other people just don't seem to get that!
In my experience, getting the pain under control is the only way I could get my happiness back. Having more less-pain days certainly helps! Going through therapy certainly helped me get a different perspective on things, too, and helps me be a bit more at peace with what's going on with my body. That had a big impact for me, too. We're just not programmed to know how to deal with such big stressors, and having someone help me through that was so, so helpful!
Everyone's different, but that's where I started. And know that you're not the only one feeling this way!

Have a look in the 'What makes you smile/feel good' thread, full of ideas of what we all do to cheer ourselves up!

I'm so sorry. I have days (i think we all do) that are just really down and negative days. I feel hopeless like it will never get better. Those are the worst and I scour the board for some piece of magic that will quickly fix everything. We are all right there with you. Karen is right, getting the pain under control will really help. There are so many ways that can help (even if it's just a little bit. and stressing out only makes it worse, which is terrible because how do you not stress when it's really hard? I realize that probably didn't help. But I feel for you.

Not sure if this will help but have some pamper time to start with. Nothing lifts the mood more than doing stuff for yourself and paying yourself a little bit of attention. Be that a beauty treatment, massage, exercise, whatever makes you feel good. Also, try to take each day as it comes and don't try to do too much. When you are in pain, small steps are much easier to achieve than giant strides. Not sure if that will help but somewhere to start xx
