And it f**king rocks!! they are paying for my commuting and everything and it pays well. I'm sooo stoked!! Good things happen! ;D

Aw, well, that's something at least!

When I was on the verge of getting laid off last summer, I had a good talk with my gyn about her cash-only patients and assured me that she had ways to make it work so it wasn't as pricey, even offered to do consults over the phone when needed instead of an office visit. In the end, it turns out I didn't need any of that, but it was good to know it was a possibility. Be up front with your doc and they may be able to do something similar so, like you said, you're only getting what you need.

Glad you'll be able to go in and get things checked out under the hood!!
