Well, its period # 3 after my cesarean (this time it started 27 days after the start of period # 2). All my life, I've had longer cycles in-between, like starting my period every 30-35 days - or skipping periods due to PCOS (which my periods normalized all of a sudden about 4 years ago).
Work up this morning and had terrible stabbing pains along with gas and bowel movement. Seems like each period since the c-section is getting worse than the one before.
I'm afraid of eating.
I felt soooo much better when I was pregnant.
I'm afraid that I won't be able to go on progesterone cream because of my blood pressure (still taking Procardia XL for pregnancy-induced hypertension).
I have an appt with my OB on Monday morning, but I don't know what else to do.

Me too, can't really relate much (except hoping your baby is ok!) and hope you feel better and your period comes back to normal. My period just switched after I had a lap to coming a week later. I just want it to be predictible, if it's going to be painful! u know? anyhow hi, and welcome to the board girl!

Ugh, I have no idea what the c-section thing is like, but I definitely feel for you. I hope things get better. There are these chewable anti-gas things, and I took those after my lap. They worked pretty well, so I would keep those on hand, no matter what you eat/drink.

Hello, I'm sorry that this has been so tough. I definitely think seeing your doctor is the right next step. Are you breast feeding? Some women have been able to keep their periods completely away when they are on a regular breast feeding schedule. It's called lactational amenorrhea and it's just as effective as birth control. I'm wondering if you weren't having periods that it would help minimize your symptoms without having to take all these crazy birth control pills and other crap that some of us take. Maybe bring this up with your doctor and of course don't start anything without your doctor's approval, I'm just trying to think of options but ultimately it will be a decision between you and your doctor. Keep us updated! I really hope things get better for you.
