Hi there,
My endo is back 3 months post-partum (also having the terrible bloating and IBS symptoms pre-ovulation and during menstruation).
I felt great during pregnancy.
The question is... BC pills make me awfully irritable and the progestin-only pill gives me a persistent headache (so much so I deal with the endo pain over taking it)... would it hurt me to try to only take a HALF of a progestin-only pill to regulate endo? Would use a condom as protection as well.
The reason I ask is that my symptoms improved very quickly after becoming pregnant (within 2 weeks). So I am thinking it won't take a lot...
Thank you

That's not a question we can really answer - you need to discuss that with your doc.

Yeah, I think that one is best to discuss with your doc if it's a prescription. I'm only familiar with using progesterone cream.
Keep in mind - progestin (synthetic hormone) and progesterone (natural or bioidentical hormone) are different and your body can react quite differently. If you want some more info about bioidentical hormones, check out the progesterone cream thread or one of the books by Dr. John Lee. If your doc is on board, he/she might be able to prescribe the correct formula that your body needs, not just what happens to be available in a pill.

I wish I could shed some light on this for you. I don't feel comfortable messing with someone's medications. That really is something to discuss with your doctor. But when you do, fill us in cause I'm curious if it will work!
