So planning my honeymoon makes the think about having to get on an airplane. I personally don't like to fly, or spend 2 days in the car, although I'd rather fly for 4 hours than drive for 22. I'm clausterphobic and have terrible flight anxiety so the whole experiance isn't great. The dr gave me Xanax for my last flight and I have to say it really helped take the edge off (i was still nervous).
Do any of you have trouble on planes? What do you do to cope with it?

Hey Girl! I ALWAYS have airplane anxiety, and each year I get my doc to refill my scrip for the tinyest xanax, and she gives me 20. That way I always know that if I need to fly, I have them, and I don't take them for anything else. It surprised me at first how knowing I already have them and don't have to worry about it made my anxiety drop, and I actually look forward to flying now, becuase the xanax takes away most of my crowd-of-strangers, too-much-noise anxiety too! Last time we flew south from Alaska, I gave one to my hubby just to get him to shut up complaining , and he was pleasantly surprised .... Just remember not to hit the airport bar too hard, you'll pass out.... Pretty

I agree, just having it in my purse as a crutch makes me feel better. But I still hate it. BOO!!

haha you gave your husband xanax to shut him up. I'll have to try that! hahahaha
The only flight anxiety I get is when I fly out of Regan National Airport in DC. It's SOOOO close to the capital, the pentagon, and the white house that I always think it would be so easy for some freako terrorist to fly us into the building. It's scary! But once we get up in the air and I can no longer see the white house in my window, then I can relax. Landing in that airport is not any easier cause then I worry about crashing into the damn capital again.

Yes, and now he thinks it's ALWAYS gonna be that way too. I told him he has to pick, beer or xanax, not both. ( I sound like his mom, right? he's actually pretty great, just not a good flyer unless he's the dang pilot himself. men!)
Anyhows, here's hoping you have a great honeymoon with or without xanax and/or beer, and hope the plane is large and not too full, and you have a lovely time.
