Wow! I'm a new person, just introduced myself last week.... anyhow had a diagnostic lap on the 30th, was out of work 5 days total, had just gotten back in and starting to get things done, when WHAM! Fell down the blasted stairs at work and got a bad sprain. Ironically, since it's a new job for me etc, had just gone through ALL my paid leave and was 2nd day back to work. So now, ironically, I have a workman's comp claim, a screwed up ankle, an inflatable sissy splint, CRUTCHES, and yet another doctor up in all my business! The funny part is, I sprained it on Monday but couldn't stand the idea of visiting our little tiny ER once again, so grinned and bore it all day yesterday....no docs in our miniscule town could see me until today. So went in just now, and BAM! ordered by new Doc NOT TO GO TO WORK until pain/swelling are GONE. This is truly funny and ironic, cause my endo is giving me fits just now, and can REALLY use a mental health moment right about now, just didn't really want the extra accessories/pain/humiliation/stress of HOPPING AROUND ON CRUTCHES. Did I mention my office is up a set of crappy carpeted stairs? Or that a big part of my job involves jumping up and grabbing things for people? AAARGH/LOL. Love Pretty

Thanks for the owies girls. I am starting to figure out why this website is so cool. You post, then wait a couple days, and get warm fuzzies back! THis is definitely improving my quality of life! Thanks so very much! Whats funny ( not) is that the women I work with are all older and in worse shape than me and yet, who falls down the stairs? Moi. Luckily Workmans comp pays for the doctor, the PT, and my salary for the days I missed. Hooray! We already have LOTS of medical bills going (hooray, endo!) so it's nice to not worry about this one. Can I just say again, thanks everyone? I'ts so nice to have a forum for all my grumbling and carrying on. Hope I can provide the same reassurance for someone else.... Pretty

then on friday a guy from workman's comp called and apparently u have to miss OVER 3 days of work to get paid for it (how would I know that?) so it's a big laugh, I told my boss if I knew I wasn't going to get paid I would have worked from the couch in the lobby wiht my ankle elevated and iced the whole two and a half days I was out of work! AAArgh. its funny now but last week I was very miffed.
