last night we got our first snow for the year - actually a blizzard.
I was putting my daughter to bed last night and I hear my little tsitzu Cocoa barking up a storm. I look out her window and he is up to his nose in snow, bounding around like a bunny, and trying to chase a peasant around our small back yard. the bird appeared not to be able to fly. I sent my husband out to get Cocoa, and by that time the bird was now chasing the dog around. It was really funny to see. and when we got Cocoa inside he was completely matted with snow, that took me ten minutes to work out of his fur.
I appricated the laugh.

okay - my dog cocoa is on a role....The snow was so much and with a bad wind, the snow now coveres our six foot fence, so what does my little bundle of joy do....he goes over the back fence into the open field behind our house. He ran around the nabour hood for one hour and a half, and all the time I am crying as my emotions are high due to the lupron shot, and I am worried that his little paws are going to freeze....he is now safe at home, but my daugter (7) had to blow dry his belly to get the ice mats off while I held him....Arn`t animals fun. ugg.

I tried to name my cat Willow, and she gave me the dirtiest look. I had my heart set on it but I tried the next best, Lily, and she liked it. My Luther is set behind me on the chair. My back hurts more because I can't lean back and squash him but he occasionally butts me or licks me or paddles me and it does make me feel a bit better. Typical man though if you ask me, hogging the spot and trying to butter me up. Tara your dog sounds so funny! I just imagine this little fluffy dog having the time of his life whilst you're worrying! My cats are weird and will only go out in the snow, they love it and all, but I also worry about frozen paws.

On Halloween the humane society was having a sale as they had to many animals, so We got a new dog, his name is Niko. He is a one year old Alaskin Malamute. He is huge, he can get his head on the counter, but my husband wanted him, so far things are going well, except for my litte tsitzu is not happy, and the two of them look quite a pair. Cocoa is my baby so I am worried about him, but I`m sure they will ajust.

This is a combo for the pets and the stupid things that make you laugh. My female kitty, Lily, was allowed to sleep at the foot of my bed as I was in bed all day and the company way nice. She revelled, slept, woke up and did this huge stretch, rolled over languorously towards me, then back the other way. Off the bed. She gave this loud chirrup and when I looked down she'd done a little poop in surprise. She's done that 4 times in 5 years. It's so funny because she 'talks' more every day and is such a precious little princess til she craps herself because she's surprised about rolling off the bed. That's how she reveals herself to be a wee hobo.

I don't think there are many things funnier than a totally relaxed cat falling off of anything, but that she lets a little turd out might just be it!
When Baxter was a clumsy baby (I found her when she was a week old, bottle fed her, etc) her eyes had just opened and she was just learning how to pick up speed when she walked. She was on my couch (no arm rests), picked up speed, fell right off the edge, did a somersault, and landed in the adjacent garbage can! A friend was over and witnessed the whole thing, and 10 years later she still brings it up.

That's so cute! A few time Luther has come home from kitteh hospital doped up and tried to jump on things, or fallen off things. It upset me at the time but I'd try to hug him and he'd be like 'get off me woooman, I'm trying to reach the liiiight' Lily literallt crapping herself is funny. She does it when my sister hugs her (she loves Natalie more than anyone, so she gets too excited about it) so my sister won't touch her. She doesn't like kitty poop on her jeans.

So my new dog has chewed threw everything.... - he chewed the plastic kennel we put him in. - then he chewed four bars off the mental kennel we bought for him. - he chewed the couch arm off our new couch threw his kennel. - he chewed the carpet and ripped a foot long strip, right down to the sub floor. - chewed the corner of our wood fire place. - Chewed the ledge of the wall, when we left him confined to the living room after he had chewed threw his Kennel. - He chewed the corner of a drawer in my bedroom. - He chewed threw two blankets, and one dressing gown. - and many small kids toys.
And we have only had him for a week and a half.......

OMG! I have finally started leaving our two dogs at home this week prissy a jack russell is 2 and a half and flash a black labrador is one year. Well the first two days were great, I left them home from 2 until 5 pm and they were fine. then yesterday they were home from 8:30 to 1:30 and then from 2 to 4:30 and they were find. WELL! today my hubby was out of town so I left home at 7:30 and came back just now at 1:30 and they have destroyed: 1. a full roll of toilet paper 2. a full roll of paper towels ( I only use them for pet messes, use real hand towels for all kitchen mess, since I hate wasting loads of paper, anyway it's so ironic they destroyed the towels I use to clean up after them... lol) 3. some paper boxes destined for recycling 4. a basket I loved, and the giant pine cones within it.
THis of course isn't nearly as awful as the story above but I've learned now that the limit on good behaviour is somewhat less than the 5 hours I left them for today! Gawd it's hard to love these little fvckers when they wreck my sh!t! aaaaaaah!
