Sounds to me like she was trying to cure your cold. My cats are all over me when I'm sick. 2 years ago I had virus after virus and they followed me everywhere. Cute.

Normally my cats sleep at the foot of the bed or on the loveseat in my bedroom. Last night, I woke up over them fighting to determine who was going to sleep on top of me... Perhaps it's time I cave and turn the heat on??

I love that! My 2 do this in winter too. I wake up contorted into strange positions because I'm a considerate sleeper. So I have Lily either under the duvet curled into my stomach and biting my elbows, or between my ankles on top of the duvet. And Luther likes to trample me and purr loudly in my ear. He sleeps anywhere, but especially anywhere that Lily likes to sleep. I've woken up with his head on the pillow next to mine, staring at me.

I love when the kitty sleeps in the bed! It's so cute. I thought it was so sweet when I woke up with her on my head. haha She never sleeps with us, I'm guessing she's starting to get cold. HAHA

My kitty sleeps on my mom, every night. She only sleeps on me when I feel horrible.
She has her special behaviors for each family member, though; I can hold her right up on my shoulder, but nobody else can. My dad can pet her rough, but nobody else can. My mom can hold her like a baby, but nobody else can. When my brother picks her up, she pops him in the face. Nobody else gets that kind of reaction, lol.

I'm a considerate sleeper, too! I feel awful when I reposition myself and stick a leg out and accidentally propel a cat off the edge of the bed. I make my bed every day and in the fall/winter, I always come home from work with Baxter under the covers. She's just a lump under the rest of the neatly made covers! But she won't do that when I'm in bed as I think she thinks I move too much when I sleep and she's not one to be disturbed. Olive on the other hand will sleep anywhere it's warm, which is usually between my ankles or on top of my hips if I'm sleeping on my side. She sleeps like a rock and won't move no matter how much wriggling I do, which makes it quite tricky to get out of bed some days... But as soon as I'm up - and she's usually waiting in anticipation - she'll jump to the warm spot that I was just in and will curl up. She gets as anxious about it as a kid waiting to go outside for recess!

So this morning, Baxter was acting a bit frisky so I decided to give her some cat nip. Olive perked up, too, at the smell and I now have two writhing kitties on my dining room floor! I have a ton of cat toys (my Grandma keeps giving me more) that they never play with so I tossed them around in a bag of catnip and they molesting those things like crazy. SUCH good entertainment! Now Cherry, what were you saying about a crazy lady cat compound?

HAHAHA my cat loves that stuff too! I have these little mice things I throw around and my cat freaks out! She loves it. I also have this fishing pole thingy with a little feathery fish at the end. SHe loves to chase that thing around. Karen, can I come over and hang out with you and your kitties?

Any day, Jenaya, any day! Though I have to warn you - Baxter doesn't do well with strangers (especially men)...

Oh Karen I do it with Valerian too, they love it! This will serve a double purpose in the crazy cat lady home, it's used for restful sleep and headaches as well as making kitties look stoned.

This morning I woke up to my cat on my chest. LOL I wonder if she really does know if I'm sick because she never sleeps in my bed.

I have a Calico named Kitty, a Yorkshire Terrier named Lola, and an Anatolian Shepherd named Juno. Kitty is beautiful and low maintenance even though she leaves cat hair all over the house and it drives me crazy! Lola is my precious peppy puppy! My sweet baby is 8 months old and has personality plus, I don't know how I lived without her! Juno is a new addition to our family. We picked her out from a rescue shelter about 1 month ago and she must have been through a lot because she is very shy and scares easily, but Lola is teaching her how to be more outgoing. Juno is a very pretty girl and has a sweet, calming personality. I will try to upload photos of them. They are my children I guess! Attachments:
