Hi There. Since this is my first post I should introduce myself. My name is Stina and I was diagnosed with endo at 16.It had been 5 years since my last lap and I felt I was handling things reasonably well but the pain got to be too much to handle, now at 24 I am a month out of my 6th laperoscopy. I have had problems with my ovary and adhesions, this time because my ovary was covered with adhesions and embedded into my peritoneum it was time to remove it. The pain is much better and I feel like I am healing really well minus a few weird setbacks(hormones?). I'm having my first period since and was warned that the timing could be off, it would probably be heavy and bad, be prepared and ride it out. Sounds like a normal period to me, lol, however, I am now experiencing what I believe to be hot flashes and have had a weird hormonal response with my bowels, I say hormonal because they tend to get like this around periods. After looking through countless posts online(most out there however are from women who have had oophorectomy due to ovarian cancer not endo) I decided it would be best to ask you,any women of this group who has had an ovary removed (not full hysterectomy) what that first and 2nd period was like for you.
