Pam, I am very sorry that you had to go threw that. Here in Saskatchewan, if you are in your 3 month probabtion you can be fired without cause, which means that they don't need to tell you why you are let go, and basicly there is nothing to do about it. Even thought they told you why.
But were you working at this same buisness before your mat leave? because if you were then you wouldn't be on probation, and they wouldn't be able to let you go like that.
Don't let this get you down, though getting mad is okay.

Thanx Misst...no, this was a new job. Here in Ontario its the same. Within 3 months, no cause is needed.
Good news...docs gunna put me back on medical employment in surance as i still have 8 weeks of that left. Its not much but it will help.
Btw...i wish i was on mat leave. I had a hyster on Nov 3rd but thats ok, u didnt know. Im gunna take another month to get myself sorted then not just look for a job, but a long lasting career

Awww Pam I am so sorry. Everything happens for a reason look at it like that maybe you are gonna find a better job that pays more or one that is better suited for you. It is still tough to go thru that when you are not feeling well and everything you have had to deal with latley. BIG HUG to you!

LMAO...Karma has already found her. The whole work attire thing...she got fired yesterday after getting 3 warnings that the clothes she was wearing was inappropriate.
Brighter note....I have an interview monday as a Corporate Assistant. Much better pay and 100% benefits with no premiums. Im very scared because im 35, i dont have all the paper credentials they are looking for but i guess something in my cover letter made them think I just may have what it takes. Im going to my local employment agency so that they can help me prepare for the interview. They will run me through vigorous questioning just as this company will.
Here's hoping!! At least im not as upset now as I was Monday. Brad apparently didnt think I was earning enough there for my qualifications and the hour long drive each way. He told me im very talented at what I do and that I should of hed off for something better to begin with.

Hi Pamelaj message me if you have any questions the agency doesnt answer or you may have prior to your interview. im in HR and can try and help from an employers perspective and tell you what the targeted intervew questions are trying to ascertain. just a thought, good luck  |
