ANd on a side note, some how this stuff made my hair like 3 inches longer, so the fact that I have to cut about 5 inches off really wont make that much of a difference! YAY!

Yeah relaxer generally makes the hair stretch out a little, so a hairdresser would comb it out to maximise that effect before taking off the formula. I despise relaxer cos even going to professional, the first time they burnt my face and sprayed oil spray on so I left the salon with a wet look, and the second time they burnt the whole of my scalp. Janaya if you are brave enough to do a home treatment again, there are products for non-black hair which are probably nowhere near as strong and damaging. I can't remember the names but our high street chemist Boots does an own brand one. There is a japanese technique too but I think that's salon only and tres expensive. I am so so glad it didn't carry on being weird! The panic is enough to give you a heart attack.

Well I did a strand test to make sure I wouldn't burn off my hair and the stupid strand test came out fine. But on a side note, my hair has been through 3 shampoos now and it's looking a little better. I still need to cut it though. Anyone got any good ideas for bra-strap length hair?

If it's still quite straight from the chemicals, it could look cute if you thinned out the ends, and had long "almost bangs" that blend down... basically, progressive layering in the front that frames the face. I have that cut, and since I'm broke, I can still take care of keeping the front-parts trimmed and looking as if someone older than 5 years of age did it, lol.
I don't know anything about curly/wavy hair, though, or how to cut it.
