Ok this is a rant to myself! Can I do that LOL? Well I felt so good that I was running around shopping and cleaning, driving all the stuff that I prob should have not been doing! I ended up in the ER last night. Terrible pain and vomitting the doc said it maybe the flu or my mesenteric gland could be swollen which I can not control but had I been resting and taking care of myself better I may not have gotten it. I am now laying around and trying to take it easy! So anyone getting ready for surgery when you get home and feel GREAT just remember to take it EASY and rest and relax as long as you need to. As a mom and a wife I do not get the luxury much to just lay around I need to take advatage of it when I can. We all should do that after surgery......

awww poor thing! Being a mom and wife is MORE than a full time job so I can see how it's in your nature to want to get up and go! Before my surgery I kept reading on here to TAKE IT EASY after surgery. It seems as though we all get faked out and think we feel great then learn the hard way that our bodies are still healing. I hope you can get some rest!! You need it!

Slap you on the wrist Mrs Arkow! You have always been very get up and go, though I hate that you ended up in so much pain. I did something equally daft after surgery, about 4 times over I think and ended up extending my recovery time to 6 weeks! It was only a laparoscopy, 6 weeks was the recovery time they gave my mother when she had a hysterectomy by giving her a big smile hip to hip (crazy how 13 years later they can do it with a laparoscope and remove via the vagina!) I would feel lovely, go for a little walk then come back bleeding heavier (I was hormonally imbalanced so seemed to be bleeding constantly) with a dull heavy pain inside and needing to sleep insane amounts. I would sit down and nod off, my body saying 'you're mean'. I don't know if it was my over-active ways or that I didn't tolerate the surgery too well this time, but I ended up needing an insane amount of painkillers to get me through recovery, plus various hospital trips. I was on morphine, tramadol, buscopan, paracetamol and etodolac all at once to get me through the day. Let that be a word of warning ladies! I was high as a kite and probably as sociable as one. Jenaya I remember telling you take it easy, and I knew you wouldn't listen

LOL Cherry you are so right! Gosh what the heck I still didnt learn my lesson I was out tonight for Halloween! SICK but my make up artist made me look NORMAL! Oh dear I know this next week will be hell for me but this time I promise I am taking it easy! If I don't I am in BIG TROUBLE with all of you, my husband and my doctor. He is gonna kick my butt! You know I am not even taking any pain meds I have no idea how I am able to do the stuff I do. Someone said tonight I am one bad ass chick for being up and out the week after surgery! I am not a bad as* just a dumb as*!

Holy crap, Keri, I'm STILL amazed that you're doing this without pain meds... Now sit your ass on the couch, get your feet up, and take it easy! That's an order, dearie.
