I just want to get back to a normal life post surgery (Laparoscopy/D+C/Hysteroscopy/Cystoscopy/Mirena/Dye Studies). I have been bleeding for two weeks if you include having my period in the almost week leading up to surgery. The pain is mostly getting a bit better each day and it is getting easier and easier to move around. Although my tummy still feels 'fragile'. I know all the symptoms I am getting can be expected after what I have had done but I am OVER it. And I still have to give it 3-6 months before I can decide if Mirena is for me as it can take that long for things to settle down apparently.
I normally do 4-5 dance classes a week and go to the gym twice a week, and never ended up finding out when I can go back to that. Though I have decided I had best keep it gradual. I was going to try and do a dance class on tuesday and even told my teacher I would be back-but now I am not so sure. I think I will have to see how I go at work first.
I go back to work on monday, and luckily I only have to work one shift before I have two days off. I will try and take it easy at work, but I am a nurse in a busy Emergency Department, so 'taking it easy'-is easier SAID than DONE.
And my other issue is I still don't know how much Endo they found. I am pretty sure the Consultant said it was extensive, however I was also quite dopey at the time so am not sure as the discharge letter I go was very brief.
But on a positive note I am going out for dinner tonight and am going to go ice skating (even though my dad is worried about me falling over and hurting my tummy). I need to feel normal again.
