BLOODY BACK PAIN! BLOODY HIP PAIN!! BLOODY PAIN IN MY BACKSIDE, STOMACH, GROIN...........YOU GET THE PICTURE
Have gad the crappiest day at work. Bitten everyone's head off. Can't do my job properly cos I'm so sore/tired/fed up and just totally and utterly sick of my life! Just aswell my boss wasn't in cos he would have got it in the nexk and God knows what would have happened!
Thanks for this space, rant over, and am now going to chill out with a couple of episodes of Ugly Betty and a glass of champagne (we have to treat ourselves now and again, right?).
Hope you're all having a good today, sorry for the rant but it's good to be able to vent. H xx

Sorry, kiddo. Can completely relate. Hope you at least have some good meds to help take the edge off so you can chill and have a bit of peace.

Hey girls. Feeling better today. Fell asleep on sofa about 10.30 last night, woke up at 11 and went up to bed in a bit of a haze (2.5 glasses of champers took the edge off...lol). Karen I have some Tramadol left from my knee incident last week, but to be honest it diesn't seem to do that much for me........bizarre. My med of choice is Nurofen Liquid Capsules (little red jewels I call them!). I'm trying not to take too many pinkillers as I'm still keeping a pain/symptom diary and trying to track what's going on, but on the days it gets too much I pop a couple. I know soluble ones are supposed to be good but I've had bad experiences in the past where they#ve made me vom so I stay away from them. People at work laugh at me 'cos I've got a little pharmacy going on in my drawer at work, and I permanently carry a pack in my bag.
I used to feel so alone before I joined this forum, thinking I was paranoid or exaggerating or going round the twist. It's so nice to be able to moan to people who know what it's like to be in constant pain. While I wish none of us had to go through this, it is comforting to know you're not alone. Thanks for your support girls xx

Here's the thing right. I am sooo frickin stoooopid. Had a really good day yesterday, relatively pain free which was great cos I was going out on the town last night and to a 21st b'day party. I felt really good, great mood. And then.........in one particular scuzzy bar, I got on the stupid bucking bronco thing. Never been on one before. Only lasted a few seconds but it was a laugh. Then got a cab to another bar and when we got out I was like 'Oh no....my back hurts...'. But still didn't listen tried to dance, whic hurts, got quite drunk, did something else really stupid under the influence of alcohol and today I am in AGONY! Can barely walk. Why oh why oh why didn't I just be sensible. Am a bit hungover today and I feel like crap. :-( Come on, tell me it's my own fault.....

Oh, dear, been there before! Well, not the bucking bronco. As for the hangover, that's likely making everything else worse. Drink lots of fluids, be sure to replenish your electrolytes (gatorade or some other drink along those lines), and get lots of rest!

Once I feel up to it I'm going to have a hot bath, and early to bed. I can't do this anymore......a Sat night out leaves me exhausted for about 3 days! And back to work tomorrow! I have Tuesday off, and also on Tuesday afternoon I have an appt with gastroenterologist - the one path my GP did keep open but I even had to nag him for that. Still no appt for lap though. Speaking of which, my GP surgery called the other day and apparently they've had a letter from the Gynae I saw. They asked me if he was discharging me or doing further investigations. I'm a bit nervous as to why they couldn't get that info from the letter?? What's in it? Why hasn't he written to me?

Ack! That's how I know I'm getting old... It takes me almost a week to get over a Saturday night!

Ditto! Ah, I miss the college days when I could go on a bender, sleep most of the day, wake up and grab some Taco Bell, and then go off drinking again... Well, I guess I don't really miss them as my habits back then were awful, but I had a hell of a good time and I miss the short recovery period! Now, I'm dragging for at least 2, sometimes 3 days...

Was still feeling crappy yesterday but a bit better today. During my 'younger years' I could come home stotting drunk, get up the next morning and after a bacon sarnie and a cup of tea I'd feel right as rain - used to drive my mum mad. Now I'm stuck to the sofa for an entire day. If I get to bed at a reasonable hour I'm not too bad, but Saturday night I didn't get to sleep until gone 6 a.m........no-one's fault but mine. Off for my GI appt this afternoon, wish me luck!!

this post is hilarious in a sad sick sort of way... My hubby who had never gotten toasted in his life got rip roarin' drunk. He is a real cheap date and he woke up still drunk and spent the rest of the day pucking his guts out. he is 33 and should have known better! He got no mercy from me and he has sworn off ever doing it again he was so miserable. Oh, and cure for a hangover is increase your vit. B
