So I got my hubby talked into a laptop for my 'recovery period'. Don't have a clue how i did it. I think I asked him immeditatly following sex ;D Anyways today the whole thing freezes up and I can't even turn it off. Call DELL (keep in mind its only four weeks old) and they help me through all these tests and tell me it must be a software issue and they can't help me. So I'm getting madder by the minute since my brand new computer is crashed and suggest maybe I should just send it back and get my money back. Oh well you can't do that! You wanna make a bet.!! I have a 90 day, no questions asked warranty. Oops.. anyways so I ask for software help and they tell me they have a one time fix it charge of 129.00. I haven't even freakin' paid for this thing yet its so new and I'm sure as HELL not going to fork out [glow=red,2,300]129.00 [/glow]more for a one time fix. I finally hung up on the guy after talking to the hubs. This was supposed to be date night and we were both not in a good mood after that. Managed to have a good evening anyways and had a friend help me. We got it up and running and I'm running a hurkin' anti-virus program jus in case!! May have gotten bugged so I want to be sure. GRR!!!

Mean while I get to have a fun day tommorow with a clear liquid diet. I have mixed the lemon jello and, can have lemon sherbert (no milk) I bought some chicken broth, lemon gatorade (cant even have the fruit punch kind which tastes better. BUT for tonight. I bought MIKES HARD pink lemonade!! I figure I will see how much it takes to get me asleep tonight. WOO HOO

Hey Karla,

I hope you don't have any more problems with your computer! That just sucks. I'm glad your surgery date is just about upon you and hope that all goes well and that you have a ton of relief. Take care and keep us updated on how you are doing.

YUP! its working now but I haven't a clue what happend?

hmmmm gee, wanna know how I know? Cause I have the same computer and it's a piece of crap! Get ready for a long and wonderful list of problems with your computer! And this thing is expensive too! I met someone else with this computer and he has the same issues. I could go on and on about what we've had to do to this thing to keep it running.

I think you can request to have the previous version of windows and have vista removed. Don't remember where I heard that, and I don't think it's easy to figure out where you can get a disk/download, but if you're already spending ages on it, might be worth looking into. Of course, I could be full of crap. But I don't know anyone that hasn't had problems with vista!

buy a mac next time and you wont have any problems they are more money, but worth every damn penny!! ;D ;D
