HAHA my logic behind that was a pair of hairy balls is better than a painful uterus.

And you can always shave...

I dated a man who shaved once, back when I was a dancer. I think he was gay, but whatever--he was great in bed. And the funny thing is, even shaved, they still seemed like hairy balls. I think the gross hairiness is a quality of the balls, not the hairiness.

there is no way it will be over by Friday. prob won't be done til mid week. last one lasted 6 days. a little worried about being in a white dress. but I don't bleed that bad. not having any pain makes me believe my endo is still in remission. did a fertility test today and said it came back elevated. low egg quantity/quality

I just want to complain a little bit. I'm tired of being in pain. This has been about 10 days that are really bad. I'm on Day 5 of my period, and exhausted, and drained, and the pain just won't leave me alone and move on along.

So annoyed to be getting my period (for many reasons!) but we are headed to see the in laws this weekend. With my new cycle I have that really heavy flooding day (tomorrow or Mon I think), so I'd rather not stay over just in case but then we suffer the family guilt trip that we don't love them (3 surgeries in one year gives you no breaks, it is infuriating!!). Last month it was on a day off and it was so nice to be at home and not at work trying to keep my white lab coat white!!
Any one have any tips to keep the flooding at bay? I'm going to try the regular ibuprofen again, otherwise I'll hog the potty and tell everyone to go f themselves!

Semi I'm so sorry. I have no idea how to stop the flooding. I know that this sounds crazy, but have you tried wearing an adult diaper, and wearing a dress over it so no one can see? I've done this before, on the worst days. Wear a dress that has a high waist so there is lots of billow below to cover the diaper. It's humiliating, but it's better than bleeding through at work, or at the inlaws.

Believe me Rust, I have considered this! It's tough because I wear scrubs to work, and I do pool therapy too (geez, don't know if that's on the schedule tomorrow). I'm still waiting right now, hate the waiting game! There are some home remedies out there, not sure if anyone has tried them.

Okay, so the copious amounts of ibuprofen really helped with the clotting which allowed me to make it through the day mostly unscathed. But the stress of this cycle was way too much, my sleep reserves are empty! Don't you hate dreading your cycle!?! Ugh, glad to have the rant space though

Glad you made it through the day!
Having another long cycle and had some spotting today. I now have the burning uterus/behind the uterus feeling. Don't think it's quite my period so perhaps I don't deserve to be in the period rant space, but still. I'm not happy. If I'm going to be in pain, at least let me freaking bleed. None of this 'spotting' bullsh*t. It's not super bad or anything, but enough to remind me that I was NOT feeling this way yesterday. And I don't like that. Hmpf.

I'm with you semi--dreading the period is pretty stressful. Glad you made it through yesterday ok--was thinking about you.
and Karen, I know that this isn't appropriate, but your post made me laugh. I don't even necessarily connect pain to bleeding, as my pain just doesn't stop, but I do see your point--if nothing's going to work then by god have nothing work, don't half work with the worse half! Have your temps changed at all with the burning uterus and spotting?

I like all the swearing, Karen, especially since I'm about to do some. I thought I was out of the weeds, then at the end of my work day my bleeding picked back up and I passed a sizable clot. Wtf? I think my uterus is on f ing crack. I say this for both of us- bleed and get it over with already!!

Eh hem, I should be careful what I wish for... Have been bloated and constipated the past few days... Yesterday I noticed I was slurring my words a bit. Woke up this morning with a tight lower back. All of these are tell-tale signs, but I haven't had a real period since July (bouts of spotting and one was heavier enough to consider a 'period') so I wasn't sure. Had some light spotting yesterday, but not much.
Ate lunch today and a few minutes after felt really dizzy and like I was about to pass out. Total brain fuzz. It was almost instant. I thought to myself that I couldn't be feeling that way because of what I ate because I've had it a few days in a row. Went to the bathroom and boom, there's my f**king period. Part of me is relieved that I FINALLY got a real period, but then the other part of me realized how nice it was NOT to have one for such a long time. I hate that fuzzy feeling, I hate that I sound like a moron and stumble on my words when I'm like this, and hate the bloat. Pain isn't too bad, but it comes in waves and spreads through my back. Might have to break out the heating pad tonight.
Yes, Semicolon, our tanks MUST be on crack! Hope it slows down to a drip soon!
