rave: Going to CEC next week for surgery!

So after a year of researching it and thinking about it, and planning, i'm finally going to Atlanta for surgery! I'm a little nervous. I don't doubt their skills, but a part of me is scared they'll miss something...trying not to get my hopes up too high. but, i am optimistic. I feel like this can be a new start for me.

I've been suffering with endo for 18 years and it's ruined so much. i just can't wait for it to be out of my body.

Every step has been smooth with the people at the CEC. they seem so nice and caring. The surgeon even called me the same day he received my records and spoke to me about surgery.

It's a bit expensive as my insurance won't cover all of it. i'm having to sell my piano, which i haven't done yet (eek!), but if it will give me quality of life it will be worth it in the end.

Anyway, i wish everyone could go there for surgery and get relief from this awful disease

Good luck Sara!!! I just had surgery there at the end of April and it was an AMAZING experience. I've never, ever been treated so famously by a group of medical professionals. I can tell you what...the recovery time will be a bit more than a regular lap (and obviously depends on what you get done in there) but it's WELL worth it. I haven't felt like this in three years. I feel like I've gotten my life back.....
