Hi! so two months after my surgery im starting to feel some pain, its bearable pain and im not scarfing pain killers on a regular basis.. just here and there. Im considering zoladex or lupron. Should i wait until my pain gets increasingly bad before i try these drugs, would would it be a good idea to take them now since the pain isnt so bad, hoping that it would keep me pain free longer after i come off of them. I really really really need everyones opinion on this! PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE. my doctor says i should just try 3months on lupron and see how it works. Im not sure if its harder to keep at bay if i wait until my pain is horrid and then go on lupron, or if my chances are better going on it now. please ladies. help me out with this one!!

Hey Juls... Is this your first surgery or have you had a few? Have you tried Lupron before? I would suggest if you're willing to do the Lupron route, I would imagine it would benefit you most right after surgery. Since you're probably the "cleanest" you've been inside in a while it would make sense to shut everything down now so it gives your insides and break and would (potentially) hault further growth for a while. My doctor won't even put me on Lupron until I have another surgery. She said you benefit from it most by having surgery, then doing a course of Lupron right after. With that being said, I'd seriously do your research on Lupron though(which I'm sure you have). We all know the side effects...but everyone's different! Good luck and hope you get back to feeling better soon

Do you mind me asking if they were excision surgeries or ablation?

You benefit right after surgery as it turns everything off and prevents endo growth. Do what you want to do not what other people are telling you to do as most people are anti GnRh. I have been in menopause for 20 months now and if i listened to everyones opinions i wouldnt have gone anywhere near GnRh. you can always try it and if the symptoms are too much you can stop and you can look at alterantive measures.
