You might want to PM our admin, Carolyn. She's the one who wrote the "Endo Diet" book. Just send a PM to "admin," and it should get to her.

10 pounds (4.5kilos) isn't a huge amount to lose in 2 months (unless you were tiny to begin with) and this might just be your body adjusting to the new diet, and then you should platue and your weight stabalise.
However all diets should be balanced, just as the endo diet should be. You should eat lots of the good fats like nuts, olive oil, flaxeed oil, avacados.
I don't follow the diet strictly, maybe you need to adjust it to suit you, i think lost of the gals on here do that and still see benefits from it. I still allow myself gluten free treats like glutenb free muffins and biscuits. It just depends on how they affect you as to whether you need to cut thing out completly.

Hey Dasha, When you find a way, please let me know!!! I'm on the diet now for about 3 months and I lost weight due to virusses and cannot seem to get an ounce back on. I was already skinny and I now officialy qualify as a bag of bones! At least I didn't have to think long about my costume for halloween...
I have some tricks that help a bit, but they pretty much ruin my appetite so I only use them every so often. I guess I would be gaining weight if I managed to keep them up for a bit longer: I add sesame oil to my rice porridge in the morning (made with rice milk, rice flakes and brown rice). I sometimes also do this with my live yoghurt, but I tend to forget... I put sesame oil on my bread and then shortly bake the bread, so it get's crunchy. I eat every 2 hours and when I'm full I eat another couple of spoonfulls. I put seeds and nuts in everything that's suitable (like pancakes, salads, curries). I was thinking of looking into the possibilities for adding protein to my porridge or yoghurt as in the past this amde me gain weight pretty quickly. But most proteins are soy or wey I believe, so I'm not sure if I'll do this (soy definitely not, maybe wey).
I'm seeing a dietician next week, so maybe she'll come up with some good ideas. If so, you'll be the first to know :-)

Do you eat many legumes? I'm pretty sure they have protein in them. As do nuts (esp almonds). As a vegetarian my naturopath recommended soy and dairy for protein...i know they're not ideal but if you're not getting it any other way it is a possiblity to consider...

So I went to the dietician and she said that the basics of what I'm doing is good: eating every 2 hours, chosing the healthy stuff. And that it is very hard to gain weight on such a low fat and high fibre diet, as the fibre will make you feel full. Her tips for me where * to bake more often (I did this in the beginning of the diet but after moving house I never picked it up again) and to add a piece of this to my in betweens in the morning and/or afternoon. * add safflower oil to my porridge (tastes better then sesame oil) * try goats yoghurt (I found that goats cheese works for me) * make sure I always eat a dessert (after eating all day I'm fed up after dinner, so I was not used to eating a dessert) - she suggested live yoghurt, goat yoghurt, baked fruit (pineapple baked in a bit of oil).
She said that if I gain half a kilo in a month I can be very happy. I was supprised about this, I though it should go faster. But she said that gaining weight is topsport on this diet and with my metabolism. I like it that the pressure is low. And guess what, I relaxed, my appetite increased so I eat more at each mealtime, only applied 1 of the tips (the dessert in the evening) and I have gained my half kilo in two weeks! Now for the next two weeks I need to make sure it stays there :-)
Dasha, how are you doing with your weight now?
oh, P.S. I get my protein from fish, (bio) chicken, live yoghurt, goats cheese, rice and beans (I love chickpeas, they go with nearly everything). The calcium is a point of attention too if you hardly eat any dairy: I use the rice milk with added calcium and a supplement for this reason. You can also get fruit juice (no added sugar) with added calcium over here.
