First of all, I did not read into the sarcasm of Ouchy's post from your PM. I thought the person sending the PM was dead on serious that they believed it... sorry, it was 2am here when I responded. Obviously, from my previous posts I don't believe that paying taxes is patriotic. I've said over and over again, we are in a huge mess and now we have to pay the piper.
In a roundabout way, I do agree with you... this is our fault for letting this happen. We can continue to disagree about the way we ended up in this mess, but we are here now. I was on board with you about people that bought houses above their means. I'd complain to my husband, why should I be punished for people's bad decisions? I'm not in over my head; we have a house that we can totally afford (although I wished we had a better one). I'm not knee deep in credit card debt. Then I ran into some people who were in foreclosure. I heard their story about what happened with their loan. Yes, it is their fault for not doing research, but my position softened a little bit when I heard their story and what actually happened during the loan process, and I doubt they are alone.
Trust me, I don’t want to pay more taxes and I’ve worked my butt off and paid my dues to get where I am today and I’m not happy about paying for other people’s mistakes, but what else are we supposed to do now?
I’m sorry if you found my posts troubling. I also found posts that I did not agree with, which is why I posted in the first place. And although Ouchy and I probably don't see eye to eye on most issues, I enjoyed hearing what she had to say and I respect her right to feel the way that she does. I like hearing from both sides and having a debate. Believe me, I can debate the other way too but I chose not to in this case since no one is on the other side... everyone has their blame to share. Perhaps this is not the place to debate politics, as it is a very sensitive issue for most people. I’m done debating this issue and offering my perspective… it’s not worth the headache it seems to be causing. You know the saying, opinions are like a@*#(&s, everybody has one. I’m glad we all get to have one though and can disagree. I hope we can turn this mess around.

The Obama "natural born" /birth certificate thing is now at the Supreme Court. I've written the Justices. If anyone would like a copy of my letter to send as well, PM me with your e-mail address.

Several cases re: the birth certificate were dismissed. One case Berg filed has been sealed by the Supreme Court.

Not sure is this is the right ace to post but I got this via another Endo group that I've been a part of: Today the U.S. Senate will vote to pass bill 510, the notorious "Food Safety Modernization Act". If S510 is passed, personal control over gardening will be severely restricted and saving seeds will be outlawed, theoretically setting the stage for a complete food monopoly by Monsanto and its GMO agenda. In short, it will grant the U.S. government new authority over the public’s right to grow, trade and transport any foods. Food production of any kind will essentially be under the authority of the Department of Homeland Security and anyone caught growing food without permission, even in their own backyard, could be charged with a criminal offense. Take action against Senate Bill 510 now. If Senate Bill 510 passes the United States will be one step closer to a situation akin to Europe's, where the European Union has passed a directive to come into full-force in April 2011. All herbal and mineral supplements are to be banned, all teaching of alternative healing methods will be banned, and all homeopathic colleges will be dissolved. As of this summer, it is now forbidden to sell books about using plants and minerals. If you live in Europe or know people/family in Europe, please help circulate this email, 35 million signatures are needed-NOW! www.grammasintl.com/html/products/campaigns.asp
