This seemed like the best place to put this: Everyone, if you plan to vote, and you moved since you voted last, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you are registered!!!
We moved, I filled out my info with the DMV, and there was a little box saying they would register me. Yeah, they don't do that. So angry!!! Luckily I'm in CA so we still have time, but I wanted to pass on my experience.
Must go compose an angry letter now...

I've never understood why someone would give two sh*ts what celebrities think! Hi Cass, I finally had a chance to view the video. I wonder how many of those actors are actually going to vote. Thanks for sending it.

This is creepy! Lawsuit against Obama in which the Democratic National Committee (DNC) has filed motion to suppress even his birth certificate from being released. Apparently, he *may* not be a native-born U.S. citizen, which would render him ineligible to become president. A life-long democrat and former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania is the one who has filed the lawsuit! www.youtube.com/watch?v=gA6_k3NtXZswww.obamacrimes.com/attachments/029...20Discovery.pdf

OK. I'm totally into entertaining conspiracy theories and all of that stuff, BUT seriously c'mon. Yes, I am an Obama supporter, BUT this smells of last minute desperation and someone who wants a few minutes in the limelight. In the two years of campaigning and all of the people who oppose/hate Obama, don't you think this would have been their first place to look? They are trying to distract us from the issues and a McCain campaign that has lost some speed in the polls. In my opinion, this is utter nonsense. If there was a hint that this could actually be true, it would be headline news on every station, democratic or republican based and plastered all over the internet AND would have been addressed ions ago.
I couldn't get the second link to work. Can someone let me know what that said or repost?I'm going solely off of the video. Thanks :-)
Oh yeah, I missed SNL last night, anything good??

It's the actual lawsuit. I'd think it were utter hogwash, too, except that the DNC has actually filed to have his birth certificate kept under wraps! WHY cover it up? As a U.S. citizen, I have the RIGHT to know that he is a natural-born U.S. citizen. I feel the same way about McCain, who showed his certificate two days after being questioned about being born in Panama (he was born on U.S. soil in a military base). If McCain were not natural-born American, he'd not be able to run and I'd push just as hard to get it exposed, even though I am republican. If there is nothing to hide, why is the DNC tryign to quash it instead of waving his certificate for the world to see? I have been trying to get the word out, e-mailing O'Reilly, Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and the like.

Here are some quotes from the lawsuit complaint that make me say... hummmm. Especially "registering" his birth. We had to do that with Baby Ouchy in another country since she was born here in the states. I guess it works like that if you are born in another country and are seeking U.S. citizenship based on parent's nationality. You don't "register" your birth if you are born in that country...you get a birth certificate.
"36. Obama is a representative of the Democratic People. However, Obama must meet the Qualifications specified for the United States Office of the President, which he must be a “natural born” citizen. Additionally, Obama must be at least a “naturalized” citizen to hold his Office of U.S. Senator for Illinois. Unfortunately, Obama is not a “natural born” citizen, nor is he a “naturalized” citizen. Just to name one of the problems, Obama lost his U.S. citizenship when his mother married an Indonesian citizen, Lolo Soetoro who legally “acknowledged” Obama as his son in Indonesia and/or “adopted” Obama, which caused Obama to become a “natural” Indonesian citizen. Stanley Ann Dunham Soetoro relocated herself and Obama to Indonesia wherein Obama’s mother naturalized in Indonesia. This is proven by Obama’s school record with the student’s name as “Barry Soetoro”, Father’s name: Lolo Soetoro, M.A., and Citizenship: Indonesia."
"38. Defendant Obama claims he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4, 1961 and it is uncertain in which hospital he claims to have been born. Obama’s grandmother on his father’s side, his half-brother and half-sister all claim Obama was born not in Hawaii but in Kenya. Reports reflect that Obama’s mother traveled to Kenya during her pregnancy; however, she was prevented from boarding a flight from Kenya to Hawaii at her late stage of pregnancy (which, apparently, was a normal restriction, to avoid births during a flight). By these reports, Stanley Ann Dunham Obama gave birth to Obama in Kenya, after which she flew home and registered Obama’s birth. There are records of a “registry of birth” for Obama, on or about August 8, 1961 in the public records office in Hawaii."

thanks for posting. I will continue to look into this further, but let's take a common sense approach. The republican party would have been all over this way long ago. Anyone can file a lawsuit. I don't believe this lawsuit is backed by McCain's campaign, correct? There are nuts on both the left and right sides, so I try to filter them out. I don't buy into MoveOn.org, nor do I buy into the right wing extremists. Everyone has an agenda, this guy is a lawyer getting incredible exposure for this.
I believe that I did read that he already has presented a birth certificate and the hospital in Hawaii has also provided this documentation. Why are they fighting it? I don't know. Yes, it would be easier to just say, here ya go, but I can see the other side of, I'm not entertaining this yahoo since it is so far from the truth.
Do you know how many people each candidate has in their campaign to dig up dirt?? Don't you think this would have been issue number 1?? Neither McCain, nor Palin has uttered one word about this. McCain actually hired the same people that spread lies about him for Bush in his primary back in 2000 that devasted him - they would have been chomping at the bit if there were any ring of truth. This was filed back in August right? Why is this the first time we are hearing about?? I believe b/c it has no merit. This would have been a ratings dream for all of the cable news stations.
I can't defend anything about the lawsuit from either side, cuz frankly I don't know enough about it and these laws. I wish I did know more and will definitely research the topic for my own knowledge. I did go to the obamacrimes website to have a look through it though. Anyone can say anything in a lawsuit, doesn't make it true. What are his sources and how did he get this top secret info that everyone has just glossed over for years?
Thanks for bringing this up though, it has peaked my interest, although at this point, I don't buy into it, nor would I buy into anything so extreme from the left side. I will try my best to look at it with an open mind as I do more research, but from a common sense point of view, thisa makesa no sensea :-). I am interested in learning more about these laws so maybe I can truly have educated discussion or argument from either perspective, not just what common sense dictates to me.
Time to hit the grocery store and get ready for football.
Edited to add: GO PHILLIES!!

Snopes is Pro-Obama. They have "proven" the Obama birth certificate rumor is "false" yet are "inconclusive" as to whether or not McCain was born on U.S. soil. McCain divulged his U.S. birth certificate within two days. I expect Obama to do the same and for the DNC not to file motions to suppress it. The lawsuit will be dropped if Obama just simply shows his birth certificate. There are also two different birth certificates for Obama floating around. You don't "register" someone's birth in the U.S. if the person is born here. The person gets a birth certificate. We "registered" my daughter's birth in another country so she has citizenship there. She doens't have a birth certificate from that country. This seems to be the case with Obama.
