I just had another laproscopic surgery for endo, eleven days ago. I had a hysterectomy about eight years ago. My ovaries were removed at seperate times because endo had adheard them to my side wall. I thought my last surgery would have been when they removed my last ovary about a year and a half ago! I have nothing left and I'm NOT taking any kind of estrogen replacement! When my Dr checked my estrogen level this last spring he said he was surprised at how low it was! So why on God's green earth am I still having endo! I have been so discouraged!! Two years ago I had lap done to try and save my ovary, they removed the adhesions and three spots of endo. Four months later I'm in surgery again because the pain was so bad I couldn't take it. They removed my left ovary and two or three more spots of endo. I thought it seemed weird that there was endo there again so quickly, but healed and went about life thinking I was good and done with endo! WRONG!! I started having pain again and it lead to my recent surgery. My Dr is an endo specialist and top in my area for it. He removed ten!, ten endo spots that spread through my pelvis, with the most on my left side. I'm so afraid that this stuff won't ever go away and I'll keep having surgeries every year or so. I have four young children. The oldest being eight. I don't know if I can keep this up. What do I do!! I'm taking my vitamins and doing the best I can to eat right. With my track record of endo, what might be my best case senario? I'm afraid the endo will keep feeding itself-however it does with such low estrogen in my body- and I will never rid of it. Has anyone experienced this senario and what was your outcome? I need to know if there is any hope of this NOT coming back!
