My doc perscribed me Spironolactone to help with the swelling in my stomache and the acne caused by the Syneral. I've read that this is mostly used for high blood pressure and sometimes as a diuteric, but nothing about it being used to treat acne. Has anyone has experience with that? Thanks!!

I think a lot of PCOS'ers are treated for acne with it. Or facial hair growth? I'm not sure.

has it helped you any? When i first started it, I lost like 12 lbs over a weekend... but then i gained it all back. I called my doc and she said that it will probably then take a few more months to see more effects. great, thanks. But it did seem to help with the acne. My stomache isnt bloated constantly anymore, but usually at night and when i really feel like crap. ugh...

Yes it did help. I just took a few weeks before my period to help with bloating and the pms pimples. I know I went to the restroom a million times....and lost water weight.
I know this sounds couter active but....make sure you are taking in tons of water also.
