Hey hey! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays ladies! I know some of you are like WOW NARI!!! LOL.. yea tis been a bad bad time for me. I know the last you had heard from me was right after my surgery and the doctor showed me pics and said that even though I was diagnosed with Endo a few years ago by a different doctor and Lap... that she saw nothing and that I didnt have it. Then I posted asking about "confused hormones" due to lactation out of the blue, and was waiting on my blood work to come back to find out why, since pregnancy was a complete impossiblility.
So now we are up to where I left off.
The day before my surgery follow-up, I went to my primary care. I knew I had a kidney infection. I have had them many times before. This stupid doctor said that I was having muscle spasms in my back and that was what the pain was. Yes, I was having muscle spasms too, but the pain in my kidney was soooo bad that it was causing the spasms. I couldnt walk for crying out loud! So this doctor takes a UA and gives me motrin and a muscle relaxer and sends me on my way.
The very next day (day before Thanksgiving) I went to my surgery follow up. She tells me,
1. I have nothing to tell you about your surgery. (so why did I have an appointment then??) That she again stated that she saw no endo but just pelvic congestion. I told her about the fact that okay, if I have that then fine, but my symptoms are much more than those of Pelvic congestion. She then said that she agreed but since she
A. saw nothing
B. that there is no specialist here
C. she cant do anything for me! HAHAHA!!!
I hate this medical facility. So then I say, okay so why am I lactating then?
2. She says, well, your blood work is normal. I HAVE NO REASON TO GIVE YOU FOR WHY YOU ARE CREATING AND LEAKING BREAST MILK!
So at this point I am just tttoootttallly ticked off. I asked her so how long have you been in the military, she says, this is her first tour, so I say.. oh were you a doctor before you came in and she said yes. I asked her how long has she been a doctor and she told me 4 years.
That just didnt sit right with me. I mean. I know they have to start somewhere and all that but geeeze... endo is not an easy disease to deal with in the medical field or so it seems from past experiences. So now I am doubting her abliltiy about the whole ordeal! I asked her then to check my lab results from my urinary analysis and she says yes I have an infection to go back across the hall and get my antibiotic. So I left her steaming under my collar, and talked to the only doc that was left there. He prescribed and antibiotic and I went home. I spent Thanksgiving day in bed on pain killers that were given for my pelvic pain, muscle relaxers and an antibiotic just to get comfortable! I slept the entire day ate 3 bites of dinner (literally) and was fighting a fever that just kept climbing. The next day, Friday, I went to the ER. I had a fever of 103. I had the complete package. Fever, chills, shakes, nausea and so on. The same stupid doctor that told me that I just had muscle spasms was working the ER. So when he walked in I said... oh you. I guess I dont have to tell you why I am here then. So he prescribed a stronger antibiotic, told me that for the pain, just keep taking the pain meds that were given for my pelvic pain... even though they were not for that, and gave me some anti nausea med.
I slept for the next 4 days only getting up to use the bathroom, and take my medicine. I ate a bite here and there for my medication and that was it. A week later, my kidney still hurt. Two weeks later, its not so bad, and then it finally stops. Just in time for my menstrual cycle to kick in. The first one with no hormone in my system. It was horrible. the pain was excrutiating.... heavy, clots.... you all know the routine. So here I am.. finally coming off of my killer cycle.
But guess what I just learned about that ob/gyn staff..... A friend of mine was telling me that earlier this year, they did a procedure on her with out letting the preg test results come back and caused her to have a miscarriage and then get a severe infection and covered up all the results and lied about it and all that.... so they wouldnt get in trouble. She found this out thru someone who had been around while it was all going on but not involved. So.... like I said... the staff at this facility??? Very questionable. What else am I to think but that the staff is incompetant about my diagnosis, surgery ect. And... still my breasts leak.. just a bit now... drying up slowly. Pelvic pain.. just as ever, if not worse from time to time.
When I get a chance, you can best believe that I will be seeing a specialist in the states. I am more than willing to go under the knife again BUT only with a well known specialist in this field to see what is really the deal here. So can we all now take a deep breath with me and SCREAM AS LOUD AS YOUR LUNGS ALLOW?!?!?!
Crazy eh? Thanks for listening and now that I am starting to feel a bit better, I will get on more often. I missed you all! And I am sorry the post was so long. I just wanted to let you knowwhere I have been.
