What do you guys do when you get so frustrated, so down, and you feel like you just want to give up? It seems like I don't have a good support system like I used to, I am an pills, but they don't seem to be doing much. Just looking for advice...

I'm pretty spiritually minded so I usually turn to my friends and family who are as well. I kind of have a mental diagram if you will, for certain issues or feelings I call... for certain others I talk to... etc. And when things get so bad (as they have several times), I have asked my entire congregation to pray for me. It is really moving when you have an 11 year old boy coming up to you weeks later telling you he's been praying for you daily and wants to know how you are doing.
I know you are going through a terribly tough time!!! Please hang in there and keep coming to us. I have found that this site has been wonderful as a resource to help me learn about ways to deal with endo. It in itself has been a sort of therapy because I can see hope because of this site and the situations the women have prevailed over.

IMK- I am not of spirtual mind and what helps me through the really bad.. "I dont want to go on anymore times" is taking some time out for myself. telling myself it will ok, and talk with myselk ( yes, come on well all do it!!) about the positive things i have accomplished in my life. graduating from college, finding a job, getting my own car etc. I also try and pamper myself, maybe treat myself to ice cream for a couple days, be outside as much as you can. sunlight helps to naturally increase the ceratonin in your brain. i know that being positive is extremely hard at times. I also find that just crying helps, cry as hard as you have to for as long as you need to and then say, ok ive cried all i can cry and this situation deserves a good cry, but now that im done crying im going to try and pick myself up and look for things that i can do to improve this situation. sometimes, i just run out of things to say or tell myself and thats when youve to look outside yourself and maybe join a class, or write a letter to someone you love or even to yourself. that way, your not bottling up your emotions. that always helps me. We are all here to help you through this!!! you CAN get through to the other side.... baby steps. hugs!!

Thanks for the advice guys... Its so hard to look at the positive things in my life when everything looks so gray. I am proud of my house, my car, and my job.. But then i think i would realy like to quit my job and just move back home... work is soo hard at times. well, alot of times. But then I will be backtracking and I dont' want to give up what I already have!! I think i'm going to take your advice and try writing things down, just to get out my feelings. That would help. And I really am glad I found this site, it reminds me that i'm not the only one going through this and there are people out there that understand. I really think sometimes that the people in my life are just sick of hearing "i don't feel well' and "i won't be able to make it today". And I really just want to say THANK YOU.
