Hi there, I wonder whether other ladies have found that their cycle length has changed since being on hormonal treatments. Since stopped Zoladex (GnRH analogue injections), my cycle has shortened by several days to 24/25 days.

^ did the difference come during the follicular phase or luteal phase? Ouchy: Good question. It's my follicular phase which has shortened in the most recent cycle, at any rate. I ovulated on day 10, which is 2-5 days earlier than usual.

I've just read from several sources that a shorter follicular phase is associated with reduced fertility. Now I'm wondering whether to go back to using progesterone cream from CD 5 or 6 onwards. When I did that, I didn't ovulate until day 12-15...if that makes any difference.

^I haven't read anything about reduced fertility and early ovulation. I have read that they don't know why ovulation occurs early. I have read about shortened luteal phase and reduced fertility. I have known several people who have ovulated on cd10 and had successful pregnancies! I'd say as long as your luteal phase is solid, try not to worry about the follicular phase being a little early.

Not sure if this will be helpful, but after I did continuous BC as a hormonal treatment, my first cycle was VERY weird. I did ovulate, but my mucus pattern was very unclear (sorry if TMI), and my temps ranged all over the place, though were consistent enough to discern ovulation. I wasn't expecting it to be so dramatic since I'd only been on the treatment for about six weeks (I didn't tolerate it well).
The good news, though, is that I got pregnant the next cycle!

Hi,
Here's an update since I posted in April about shorter cycles after Zoladex: They've been 25, 25, 23 and most recently 30 days long. I didn't ovulate in the 23 day cycle, but most recently ovulated on day 16 with a 14 day luteal phase. I'm being professionally guided regarding diet and nutritional supplements and have been on a range of different things which seem to be stabilising things, thankfully.
